  I'm not sure of what you see that has changed. I hope you see that people like Rado with the use of the internet can expose the hypocrisy of the WT while making the truth known world wide. That was not possible years ago as it is now. As far as the WT society, not much has changed!

  Hope your 7 years have not been filled with guilt. You are on the right road and may have many more discoveries ahead of you. Hope you enjoy the trip.

  JUDICIAL COMMITTEE -- ANDERSON

  the wheels of the watchtower termination squad grind on.

  at 4:45 p.m. today barbara anderson was contacted by the chairman of her previous judicial committee from last week.

  barb was asked to meet with a new judicial hearing to face new charges which are adjusted as follows:.

  I can remember when we were supposed to specify a scriptural cause for judicial action: fornication, adultery and with a bible verse to validate the action taken.

  These boys are in for some difficulty in this regard. They will probably follow the instructions given them from Brooklyn, while at the same time they are instructed to never reveal that their decisions are influenced by any phone calls or corresponce from the Wts.

  As Dungbeetle suggested, these men will have to make a personal decision. Will they be true Christians, or puppets of the system?

  My bet, the majority will vote to DF even without scriptural grounds. But I would be proud if at least one member takes a stand and refuses to take action. There are this type still serving as "elders" but they would likely not get appointed to this type judicial committee. Those trusted as corporate men usually are selected for this type case. Yet, Barb's experience so far with her judicial committee seems to suggest the 'body' may have appointed the wrong men for a lynching.

  I did an internet search about 2 years ago and book marked your site as one to visit regular.

  Very interesting. I appreciate the effort you put into this.

  Sometime around 1974 the WT published an article entitled "We Are All Made of Dust". Charlie Cromer, in the Bethel machine shop at the time, was amused by the paradox considering the way things really were inside the organization. For months his moto was "We are all made of dust but some are dirtier than others".

  we hopefully all agree it is wrong to reject an entire race because we have found one of its member to be flawed, or to reject an entire concept an the basis of finding a flaw in its argument.

  would not fair people look for a way to accept the good in the concept, modify the flawed portion and rejoice in what was gained from the refined concept?

  it would also be wrong, as the wt does, to reject an entire institution because some of its precepts are flawed.

  Hello Preston,

  I'm embarrassed to read this old thread. Just shows how much we grow in a year. At the time I started this thread I was still an elder but in the process of resigning.

  UPDATE! Six days ago I met with an investigative committee to face my first accusation of Apostasy. I'm so proud of my progress!

  As to the post above, I still believe there is some good in the JW's. Mostly there are some good people I wish I could help. Also a few good teachings I still hold to. But certainly not enough good to justify the harm they cause phsycologically, emotionally and physically.

  i sent it to kent.

  the only thing that kept me going was the thought of what my suicide would do to my children for the rest of their lives.

  i finally got the courage to seek help for that depression, and im fine now.. alanf and gedanken (two of my good friends) helped me out, and i am most grateful for that.

  Hey Farkel,

  I enjoyed your story (not "boring"). I miss that wild H2O atmosphere. That is where I first started lurking and followed you guys here.

  I'm glad you have regained work stability. You had some of us worried for a while.

  Blood Issue- Calgary Father Needs Help

  the father asked me yesterday on the phone if any more of you could help him out with respect to his financial situation in defending against the wts to keep his daughter alive.

  he is deeply greatful to all who have helped so far.. as you are aware the wts is trying to prevent his daughter from having life saving blood transfusions during her chemo therapy.

  she has leukemia.. the father has won all court battles in all alberta courts.
