So I just got called a narcissist

Who is doing the rejecting? Like I said earlier Religion is a life-choice if someone chooses a different life they are rejecting their previous one.

If someone wants to keep the familial bonds strong they would have to respect their parents life-choice especially if they want to live in that home. I am a Jehovah's witness why would I invite anyone that says "I hate Jehovah's witnesses!" into my home? They are saying they hate me!

They would be unable to hide it and the consequences of believing this. The scenario of this debate is not just rejecting a religion you were brought up in but actively fighting against it as a life-choice.

I think being an activist against any Religion is a waste of time. We can offer people knowledge according to God's word but ultimately he will deal with all religions personally, all those that are false and the one that is true.

Acts 5:38-39 (New International Version)

38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God."

We can present ourselves as the one true faith as apposed to others that are teaching false gospels but ultimately the person themselves has to decide. But just apposing a religion because you personally hate it, feels unproductive to me.

If I left a religion because I questioned it's teachings I wouldn't become an activist. I would spend my time more productively searching for God's true faith.

And I have to say Simon makes a fair point as well.

I think we have to recognise that our spiritual choices are grave life-changing ones. Religion isn't a hobby and apposing it isn't either. Jesus was right when he said the following.

Luke 12:53
They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."

It is a sad reality of this time.

your human right to be an activist in your parents home against their chosen faith? I think your parents are being more honest than you. while you are being an activist against witnesses as a chosen life goal surely intimately living with two representatives of what you now hate would only make them a target for your activism?

How could you resist hurting them with your active stance?

I am a true christian who are called Jehovah's witnesses at this time. At no point since Jesus came have we ever said that salvation can be gained other than being a follower of Jehovah through his son Jesus and becoming a true christian in the partern of the Early century christians before the delusion happenned. Recognition that we are one flock under Jesus God's son

That is a bible and christian absolute. Witnesses are certainly not unique in this respect. There isn't one religion that doesn't say the same. but there can only be one truth! and IMO Jehovah's witneesses have it in accordance with God's word.

what is your point?

You admit you are an activist against witnesses? yet would expect your Jehovah's witnesses parents to accept you with open arms into their household while you tell them that what they hold most dear is something you hate enough to want to destroy?

That is simply not true, we think we are doing a life-saving work according to the bible which is the one giving humankind the ultimatum not us.

Acts 11:14
He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.'

Did the Christians think the message they gave saved lifes? yes and if people rejected the message?

But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

1 Thessalonians 4:8
Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.

If you have a problem of recognising that Jehovah has laid a choice before all mankind as to whether the reject or accept him and we are responsibile for getting his life-saving message out then your complaint is with the Bible not us.

Offering your religion as the true faith as apposed to false ones is simply what Jesus did denouncing the Jews and false gods of other faiths but his main thrust has always been presenting the the Kingdom message which is our main thrust too.

This is a lot different from making your whole goal the destruction one particular religion alone. When showing our religion is the true one we stick to our adherance to God's word the bible and it's teachings. We will leave the destruction of false religion to Jehovah he doesn't need our help.

Witnesses are not wrong or hurtful! You and others on here simply don't want to be witnesses. Like most on here this was once a religion you loved and valued. But hate is the other side of love and it is easier to justify hate by demonising what you once loved so much.
