BETHELITES - Whatever Became of?

i often times wonder what happened to certain bethelites that i ran around with during my 1990s tenure there.

while there are still a few left there, the greater majority of them aren't there for various reasons (marriage, disillusionment, left the borg, etc).

a couple of cats i wonder about - there was one brother who i believe was from kansas, who got his fingers cut off in a printing press.

My Spiritual Awakening has turned to........

general apathy about religion.. i don't know precisely when it happened.

but at some point i began to stop needing anything 'organized' in my life religiously.

not too long ago - as attested to by multiple threads i started here - i was still wishing to replace the ritual of religion at the kingdom hall with some other church.

However, we have seldom attended in recent months, for many of the same reasons you cite. We were beginning to get suggestions from friendly folk that we become more involved with all the many programs they have throughout the week, and it reminded us of our old KH schedule. As my wife said, "We've done that, I'm not interested." Like you, we view ourselves as spiritual people, rather than religious.

BINGO- the minute i was told you are not growing spritiually due to not being involved in all the MEETINGS DURING THE WEEK i almost wanted to vomit!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think that this is one point that too many folks fail to grasp, while i don't agree with old george- i do know that if my boy in Iran had the fire power that old george has NOT ONE OF US WOULD BE READING THIS POST

when you compare george to some of the dudes around the world, george is a cake walk in the park-

i would appreciate some info if anyone has the lastest year book or jan 2007 wt- i need to find out what was the total cost $$$$ listed by the wt for expenses for the ministry, co , do, etc .

it is usually listed at the bottom of the list of countries any help would be appreciated thanks.

thanks for the post but i think it is more than than, this is for the worldwide amount- it usually is mentioned at the bottom of the page after listing all the countries report-

but thanks for the the info the same though-

i think it is close to 100mill - i think - i just need to get a confirmation
