i filed a lawsuit today against the wts for wrongfull death of my daughter bethany.

i had a press conference and all the media was present.

i will be interviewed later today on two radio talk shows.

i keep telling you all we could not make up stuff as good as a jw can come up with on these boards-

He might look back with regret on a few more wasted years, but you've sown a seed of truth.
Let's hope it flourishes, as the WTS comtinues in it's rabid grasping for control over people's lives. $$$$ yep you got a point there - time has an interesting affect on folks, i know that was the case for myself as well as so many others we will see thanks

i have a guy here Ali, his dad had to flee after the Shaw of Iran fell back under jimmy carter, and he can tell stories about what freedom is all about

Isn't it amazing that Witnesses NEVER demand quality from their leadership?

@@@ great point, but that is why the wt works so hard to stay unknown, think about this

most tv preachers want to be known, in wt they leaders/ major players dont want to be known and this has worked to the wt favor-

the avg jw can only get mad at the LOCAL ELDERS AND MAYBE THE CO AND that is as high up the food chain you will every hear jw complaining

most jw have no problem complaining about the elders, they dont go out in service, they dont come to visit, they don;t call until you are in trouble, etc or the CO, he wants us to prepare Alaskian King Crab for his lunch- smile- at that point the power structure in the org becomes FACELESS so when you reach the DO level or branch level and the GB level the avg jw can't connect the elder actions as being control and directed by the upper leadership- and so there is no one to blame

if you don;t know who to blame how do you blame them and ask for better service

at elders school the elders were blamed for the poor quality of the meetings not the boys in writing and service for putting out sad parts

when the directions are to go thru the Rev or United book 13 times - there is only so much the conductor can do to make it fresh and new

it like the little $24,000 a yr lady behind the counter gets blasted by the angry traveler cause she is the face of UNITED AIRLINES

not the fact that the CEO and the bean counter cut routes and cut maintence on the plane to save money and make their bonus fat,

so now the plane on the runway is out of service, you are flying to grandma furneral and the lady behind the counter is all you can complain to about why this flight has been canceled

elders are the face of the wt and as you know most elders don't look good- smile

So sad when ones we care for reject factual evidence. Who knows though, you may have planted a seed and when they get tired of being crapped on, the light bulb might flicker on. Good points about the hypocrisy of the WTBS pointing out that some others tell their flocks what to read when THEY are doing the exact same thing.

I agree, all we can do is provide folks with information, what they do with it is up to them, but you are right, one thing for sure once you talk to an APOSTATE , the questions that they raise, the statements they make are just like the wt says

One can?t seem to get it out of their head- some of the articles he read were ones we all read years ago, but it never CONNECTED and for them as they sat their they would look at each other as if to say

Do you know what this means if james is right, OF Course they just got thru reading it for themselves but for it to fully sink in it does take time for some- yet the elder is ready to send in his paper work- I grew up with his kids and due to being so hard on them they all left the org, he was trying to be the perfect jw family and it just wore the kids out-

I called him this morning and told him to check out the this site again for this thread-

He has called 2 of his kids he has not spoken to to any real degree in years due to being DFed from the org ALWAYS FAMILY BUSINESS ONLY ?

He told me he has felt a burden lifted off his shoulders, now he has to work on his wife

The fact that you DID have the chance to speak with him at length in a relaxed atmosphere....probably had many benefits that will be tucked away in his mind. I wouldn't give up hope! When he didn't run screaming out of your home hollering "apostate"...and the fact that he isn't "strong" in the troof, may have yet to give him time to reflect on the conversation with you.

see now you messing around and getting DEEEP ON ME , what you have stated above truly sums up in my mind the powerful concept of belief systems in a general sense,

i don;t know one person who would not proclaim from the highest mountain, my belief system is THE TRUTH - imagine if you could have spoken to a JW about to face the Hitler camp or the 19 guys on the planes that hit the WTC in NYC- their mindset and determnation and conviction would have been the same-

yet if the jw were allowed to learn about his org, he would have been like you must be crazy you think i am going to die for the wt on a dogma that in 3 weeks after I'm dead willl change

or of the guys on the WTC planes had the chance to reexamine their faith, how they would have been like you must be on Wacky Weed if you think i will fly into a building

we often hear folks say, what is life if there is nothing that you are willing to die for and i agree there are things one should be willing to die for, to protect ones loved ones, etc-

but to die for a belief system only to find out it is bogus, is sad, like the guys from Japan during WWII KomiKizee

i showed your post to the guys here in the Serverroom and they were impressed with what you said-

for me it has been therpy to be able to talk at length and in detail with nonjw and to see how they viewed us as jw from their prospective

THE APOSTACY GAME anyone can play

if you change religions by changing your mind and moving on to something "better", then, technically you are an apostate.. consequently, unless you are born a jw you have to abandon another religion to become a jw.

so, being an apostate is a good thing if you abandon some other religion; but, if you abandon the jw's you are bad.. martin luther abandoned catholicism.

and the problem revolves around the definition being used by that particular belief system

wt defines apostasy as rejecting the true god jehovah or his channel (WT) that he is using, with that definition anyone who leaves another faith could not be charged with apostacy since they were never serving the true god or working with his channnel

this is why i love belief systems you can make them say whatever you like and then sign god name on the dotted line for credibilty- smile

Understanding why Evil Happens....Same or Different?

this last sunday's public talk was titled, "why take refuge in jehovah?

" the speaker had studied his watchtowers well, and provided an unattributed quote (possibly from october 1, 2002 wt) as proof that christendom's churches don't have the answer:i have been asked hundreds of times in my life why god allows tragedy and suffering.

i have to confess that i really do not know the answer totally, even to my own satisfaction.

The idea that God needs to "prove" something to Satan or to weak and imperfect humans is laughable. Such an insecure God isn't much of a god at all.

Even as jw i found it hard to reconcile that god had to prove something,- recall the illustration we used, suppose the man across the street dogged a man to his family - then he would have to prove to his kids that he was good to them

i thinking-- most folks would be like --Leroy across the street ain't paying no bills over here,

if he wants to talk let him pick up the mortage this month- smile

To teach that satan challenged god in front of other angels and god had to show over time that the charge was false is a joke

let's be real, i am thinking like a person with the "Black Exp" of parents-

in some cultures they have this thing called "Little Johnny TIME OUT"

if you were being raised by Willy and Bertha you got an A$$ beating for embarassing them in front of others folks

You know how some kids in the store fall on the floor and cry till they get the candy, try that will black parents out of the 60's, (yes today we call that child abuse-Smile)

to challenge your mom or dad i front of your siblings meant DEATH BY BEATING in the black homes i knew growing up in the sticks of NC

so here we have god and some billions and bilions of kids called angel, and this one little smart mouth called satan back talks daddy god and his response is

Well i need for you to go down to the earth and treat my kids on earth likea DIRT and then everyone will see that i am a good daddy

when you take a step back and look at how foolish that line of reasoning is it is a joke

when we were kids and we saw what happened to one of the other kids for being disobedient, we didn't need 1000yrs to figure out DADDY DON'T PLAY

so instead of snuffing this bad seed out,

he forsaw that billions of humans would have to suffer rape, torture , war pain, suffering diease , physically deformiaties, etc for 1000's of years just to prove that ONE DUDE was wrong

is it not amazing how we as former jw actually believed that and sold it to millions of others each week

how sad
