Thank you talesin. I feel so inadequate given the magnitude of what has happened to Truman's family. All I can do is offer love and support and hope that will bring some small measure of comfort in some way that Truman can benefit. I just wish I could make everything all better...but no one can. At least we can all let her know we care and are here for her. So...Anyone who can reach out to Truman, please do send her a PM or a message on the board.

Hello everyone. We just got home. I wanted to provide this update right away though. The memorial and reception went well all things considered. I can write more about it later after I get my children to bed. My thoughts remain with Truman, her husband and youngest son who are all such beautiful and amazing people.

Hello everyone,
In a few minutes we will be heading to Glendon's memorial service. We live around the corner from that hall. The service is in just over an hour. We are heading over early so as to get parking given the expected traffic.
Some of you may wish to think of Glendon at 2 p.m. PST and send positive thoughts and love out to Truman, her husband, and her remaining son at that time when they will be attending Glendon's memorial service.

My son was murdered today
by truman ini have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.

My Partner and I have been together for 10 years today!
by ohiocowboy ini am very proud that we have been together for 10 years!
being raised a jw, it was always hard for me to find a long term relationship.
most people that i met weren't interested in anything long term, and each time one ended, it left me feeling like i would never find someone who shared the same feelings.

Went to a JW funeral today!
by TimothyT intoday i (disfellowshipped gay boy) went to a jw funeral with my dad (ex-elder and not yet disfellowshipped supposed apostate), my brother (who wants nothing more to do with the org) and my mum (who was never interested anyway).
well we had a great time.
this was the first time i have seen all of them in over a year in some sort of congre'gay'tional setting, although we only went to the crem.
