I'm so sorry, ADD for what you have been through. Growing up in an abusive JW home SUCKS....So MANY of us have that in common. Again, I am so sorry. I wish I had words of wisdom for you, really I do. Take it easy, if you can. Try to absorb the new information. Don't rush anything. Do what feels right to you and what you are comfortable with. I don't think there's a right way to do things here or a wrong way. Hugs to you.

A Birthday Indiscretion?
by DT ini grew up as a jehovah's witness so i had to deal with all the issues of not celebrating holidays at school.
i took this pretty seriously and was pretty vocal every time something came up that violated my religious beliefs.. yet, it seems that there are always gray areas.. one day, my teacher announced that we would be making birthday cards for mcdonalds.
i don't remember which birthday it was except that it was a round number.

Liberace " Behind The Candelabra"
by smiddy inwow , i`m not gay , and i dont have gay tendencies , (a couple of scenes i have to turn away) but thats just me.. i thought the movie over all was done exceedingly well.
m douglass captured liberace to a tee.
rob lowe should get an oscar for his performance.and matt damon was beleivable in his role.. i watched this movie not knowing what i was going to see,and on a scale of 1 out of 10 i would give it an 8. smiddy.

Smiddy,
I think any movie that is well done can be enjoyed regardless of sexual orientation. I think a great movie is a great movie regardless if the characters are straight, bi or gay. I personally don't see any need to turn away from sex scenes (straight, gay, group, kinky, etc.), but different people have different levels of comfort. Enjoying or admiring a movie whether it is gay or straight themed has absolutely nothing to do someone's sexual orientation.

In this situation, I would keep my mouth shut for now. No immediate benefit seems to come from telling her this information (unless you think she is open to it, and could use it to learn the truth about The Truth. If ever she were unconscious in medical need of a blood transfusion, I would then authorize one.

I haven't seen Candelabra. I would like to though. I did see Brokeback Mountain which was not in any way graphic. From what I have heard, Candelabra is not sexually graphic though.

Well, if they accepted gays and changed how they do things -- and accepted people of all beliefs, I could see going to some meetings and events with family. But that ain't gonna happen. So I won't ever have to worry about it.

WHen I try to log in to my bank account from a computer or other device I don't normally use, I am required to verify my identity. Obviously the bank keeps track of this sort of thing (through IP addresses or other identifiers?).
It would certainly make sense for Watchtower Corp to track this kind of info.
