Palmipsest,
Thanks for sharing that link! I loved it. :) Pretty much sounds like my gay agenda, except I am a lot busier and each day is much more chaotic with children.

presbyterians approve ordination of gay people.
after 33 years of debate, the presbyterian church (u.s.a.) has voted to change its constitution and allow openly gay people in same-sex relationships to be ordained as ministers, elders and deacons.

Good points, Palimpsest. Can someone tell me what the gay lifestyle is BTW? I'm a gay male, a relatively young college professor with small children, including a baby. My life is consumed by my family and work. I get up in the morning, brush my teeth, get ready, start to get breakfast ready for the kids, get them up...do the school drop offs, get myself to work, lecture, grade, etc. I volunteer in my community. We're constantly busy with play-dates, school events, etc. When the kids are asleep, I am usually busy writing and preparing for the next day -- lunches, school uniforms..etc. etc. etc.
As a gay person how is my "lifestyle" any different from others?
input welcome:.
3 children collect 4 different shells on the beach.
(4 shells in total, not 4 shells per child) each child has a bucket.
I have a child that age and she goes to a great school. We're NOWHERE near math like that yet. Is this a special advanced school for genius 6 year olds? All I can say is WOW!!!
it starts in less than 5 mins.... has everybody got their fave country's flag and got their wine/beer and european nibblies ready?.
.
I miss the Eurovision Song Contest! I haven't seen it for a few years.
do you ever look back and cringe thinking of things you said or how you acted in the door-to-door ministry?.
i recently had two jws at my door and posted about that here: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/210246/1/jws-at-my-door.
they were gracious and polite.
That's the way I wish I had been, dear Mr. Freeze. Good for you!

They were gracious and polite. However, I was not so gracious when I was a JW. I cringe when I think of the things I said to householders.
Just one example:
Householder: "I'm not interested, but thank you anyway."
Me: (Audible Gasp) "You're not interested in the Bible" (acting completely shocked and horrified).
Is there anyone else here who was more of an ass than I was?

I like Presbyterians. I like them even more now that they have made this move.

Oh - and one more point. Yes, the JWs were very gracious. I want to make that very clear. The guy doing the talking had a warm and friendly tone and manner. Had they not been there to preach crap, I would have been happy to offer them a cup of tea. They left graciously and did not try to argue or challenge what I said to them (When I was going door to door I can't claim that I was that way...basically they acted the way I WISH I had been when I was going door to door).
Looking back does anyone cringe at some of the things you said at the door? I think I'll start another thread.

Mrs. NLW - I believe you should not push yourself and do what feels comfortable. I also don't like confrontation. I avoid it! But the words just came jumping out of my mouth. Still, I kept a polite tone.
