Do you miss the sense of security the organisation gives you?
by Mr Facts ini am sure most of you miss the sense of security regarding the future that the organisation offers- the certainty of everlasting life in the paradise earth, being healed and the confidence that you will definitely see your loved ones again if you remained faithful.
but why did you pursue a course of life that had suddenly turned everything into a fable?.

My non JW Uncle is an Engineer at the Royal Mint in Wales....could that be where you are going?? He lives in a 300 year old stone cottage in a small village by the Sea. There are ruins of a beautiful castle just a short walk through the field behind their home.
When I was there last, my aunt's car had been recently hit by another car as she was pulling out of her driveway. Another man stopped and gave her his phone number in case she needed a witness for insurance purposes etc. A few days later a couple of people knocked at the door and said something about being witnesses or something so my aunt thought they were there about the accident. She directed them out to speak to her husband who was cutting the grass in the back garden. When she looked out the window later she saw her husband going back and forth across the lawn with the mower, continuing to cut the grass as the two people trotted along beside him. She thought he was being terribly rude and had decided to give him a good scolding when he came inside. Later he explained the two people were (you guessed it) JW's.
I told my Aunt about H.B.H (home but hiding) She thought that was hysterical and thought it was even funnier that JW's know that's what most people do.
They are everywhere but at least you won't know them personally. All the best to you in your new situation.

Another story to teach children what happens to people who don't do what God and the people who say they are his chosen ones, want them to do.
The story of Jack and the beanstalk could have just as easily been a bible story had someone made it up soon enough to get in included.
Jack stood for God's children who sell the family cow (spiritual heritage) and succumb to selfish longings. The magic beans symbolized Man's foolish teachings that appear fertile and valuable. The Giant stood for Satan's organization. The beanstalk stood for worldly pursuits and ambitions that can, for a time, help one achieve lofty positions in this system of things. The goose that laid the golden egg is the riches that can be sought after and aquired at great danger to our spiritual lives etc etc...

i don't use the addresses i have for this because i don't want to cause a further rift between myself and what's left of my lifes social and family network.
i don't want them to leave the organization, i just want them to know what's going on behind the scenes so that they know exactly what they are basing their whole life around.. i have often wondered if any on here have ever exchanged email address with one another so that information such as the conti case can be sent sort of anonymously to our "still in" witness friends and family.

Thanks A.B.S. you are streets ahead of me on this. This is sounding more and more do able, but I have to say, I am also feeling more and more like the image of the evil apostate we've all heard about just by just thinking about doing this. Then I realize that I would only be delivering information that they should know about and not be prevented from seeimg, like I was. As I said before, I don't have a problem with someone being a JW so long as they are free to look into the background of their religion from an outside source with out being punished.
It seems pretty likely that most of us on here know JW's all over the country or the world that could easily be "informed" via a simple link sent to them in an email. I can only imagine what the result would be if all former JW's sent links to their "still in" JW friends and family.

Most JW's won't hear about this case or find out about much of the hidden information one finds regarding the background of the society on the Internet. If an email came from me to one of my family members about this, they'd take offense and possibly shun me further. If it came from someone else, they'd get the information but it wouldn't make a difference to the anonymous sender if their address was 'blocked'. I've thought about opening a fake email account for this purpose but I'm not sure if they'd be able to trace it back to me.
Has anyone ever done an email exchange like this? If so how effective was it?

A Real and Authentic Letter from a Jehovah's Witness Mother to Her Son

i am glad that he accepted.. it's so rare to find a real, authentic handwritten letter from a jehovah's witness parent to their disfellowshipped child, so we hope you can read it and show it to any apologists that claim the watchtower society doesn't condone shunning.. you can read the article here.. .

The letter was all about her....what she thinks....what she is going to do....how she feels....how she needs to move forward to her goal of everlasting life.
I love how people say they Love Jehovah and are foregoing their own selfish pursuits and are putting him first when really they are saving their own skin and will throw their own offspring under the bus to do so.

Watchtower's Billion Dollars of Property Cannot Be Sold until Outcome of Conti Appeal
by Dogpatch in30 minutes ago i just got off the phone with some important players in this case, and some things were relayed to me concerning a lot of details of the outcome of the last two days of court.
i am passing this on.
cynthia hampton, one of the main players in the candace conti case (and a close friend of 28 years), just informed me of a further, far more powerful move by the state of california against the watch tower bible and tract society of new york, inc.. by order of the superior court of the state of california - county of alameda (see documents below), until the watch tower's appeal, which won't begin until august 13th and will take up to two years to settle due to due process of law, has forbidden the watch tower to sell any more of its $1 billion in assets in the borough of brooklyn until the appeals case is finished, to assure they won't shelter their monies in the light of this most huge and devastating sexual abuse scandal ever to hit the watch tower society, and perhaps any other single-victim lawsuit.

I think part of the court ordered restitution should be that they make a public appology at the district convention and in the magazines for their disregard of victims of child molesters and tell the rank and file just how their policies made it possible for molesters to repeat their offences and also they should admit just how many cases there have been over the years. This would sting more than the millions they may have to pay.
