lots of jw's lead a double life.
many are young people that simply go through the motions until they can free themselves .
others have relatives or family still trapped .

i cant believe how amazing i now feel as opposed to how aweful my life was but 4 months ago.. after some careful consideration, i decided to be gay despite being a jw.. the moment i chose this course, my life became so positive and i noticeably felt happy again.. 3 months ago i met a lovely man who took an interest in me.
one week ago we decided it was time to become boyfriends.. well, i feel incredible.
all i can say is that this course of life based on my being true to myself, despite the fact that it contradicts what i have been brought up to believe, has made life worth living again.. despite being gay, and slowly coming out to those who matter to me, i also have come to realise how flawed this organisation is anyway.. im a keen bible student but i dont see the organisations claim to authority.. to be honest, ill be glad to get out of it and start living my life as happily as i can whilst still trying my best to serve god.. thanks to those who supported me and of course to my boyfriend 'jackal' who joined this forum in order to understand what has made up my entire upbringing!.

You don't have a right to blame them for your choices, including not investigating things more objectively and for personal lying (they were an influence, not a cause).
EP can blame who he wants when he wants. It's called mind control. Which you would understand IF you had ever been a JW, which you weren't. This is to do with the pain his little boy is in. Not that you would understand that either. Your child doesn't have violent nightmares where your being hit by a fireball or falling down the earths crack!

I have been an on/off veggie since I was a child... I used to hate it when I was tricked into eating meat by others. My parents respected my beliefs, why couldn't others. A few years ago a jw ex friend of ours was round having a bbq. This so called friend kept going on at Babysprout to eat meat and it was really winding him up that she was a veggie. It got so bad Carrot nearly rammed his head in the hot coals. Lol.
I am a veggie at the moment and the only reason I'm not a vegan is because of my love of cake! Chocolate cake at that! I hate it when veggies, vegans, meat eaters push their views on others. It's a personal decision what to eat and people should mind their own. If Carrot or Babysprout want meat I prepare them a meat dish. I have no right to dictate to them what they can and can't eat! It's very WTish.
I have a friend who is vegan and her family HAVE to be veggies. No meat is allowed in the house. I think thats rather controlling. Why can't people be who they want to be, not fit into the ideals of others.

i moved on sat...fell & fractured my wrist..... it is in a caste,thank god it is the ,left one.... i am all settles in with the help of my daughter ,sonin law,grandkids.. i was at the hospital for hours....was able to talk to doc,nurse,why.
they must not shut the door on the jw's as they have been doing.. they were very interesting took my card to give the ones they have.
been listening to.....so i feel good came out of bad....

I hate kindles! Nothing can compare with a book... Especially when you are reading curled up on the setee with some chocolate, and in your eagerness to read the next page you absently smear chocolate over the pages. Yes everyone of my books have chocolate smudges! Lol
I hope kindles never replace books... There is nothing like seeing, touching, absorbing a ''first'' edition... I can't imagine seeing a ''first'' edition of a kindle will have quite the same effect!

Hi Shel, (The greatest love and peace to you) I still have a tendancy to ''listen'' with my eyes... Sometimes I just need to ''see'' what it is I am asking or being taught... I am not as ''visual'' as I was 12 months ago. I am trusting more.
I have noticed that I am becoming very spiritual...Leaving my flesh ''behind'' in my spiritual advancement! Lololol.
I know quite a few who only ''see'' with their eyes and can't understand how someone ''sees'' with their ears.
