  How do I hear/feel God?

  this is a serious question.. i know people that hear/feel god (and see postings about people's experiences), but i have not experienced this.

  i have never heard anything audibly (or otherwise) nor "felt" anything inwardly.. i've prayed, read, quieted my thoughts, etc...but still nothing..

  I didn't mean to be obtuse... It's very very late here and i'm sorry if it came across that I was. :)

  If we do hear different things that we talk about it like adults and not what Myelaine does and condemn everyone to hell :S If I read anything I disagree with I just go to Christ and He explains it. It's really that simple. Can't say I have ever fallen out with another body member. Now Myelaine on the other hand with her viper tongue :S Had emails and all sorts off her saying I worship the devil nad i'm not a Christian and my faith is all wrong blah blah blah.

  Tammy knows what she believes and so does Myelaine. Although I think Myelaine is a Catholic and me no likey religion! But that's a whole other thread. ;)

  Tammy and Myelaine will sort it out themselves, had my run ins with Myelaine and trust me they are exhausting :/

  Why I truly come in!

  hello everyone.... i would honestly like to share why i come to this site when i am able to.. i too, like many here spent my whole life inside the wt along with my husband who was born in.

  (i was 6) we have raised three wonderful sons now 27, 23, 21 who the youngest was almost 7 when we left and we were disfellowshipped.

  (for so-called apostacy of course)and since then all of us partake of the christ by eating and drinking the manna and his blood.

  I strongly disagree. I would not keep quiet if I witnessed a parent hitting a child any more than I would if I saw a carer hitting a vulnerable adult.

  I disagree with smacking but you will not stop a parent from doing so. Many a time my hubby has had to drag me awway when I have seen a child being smacked as I have gone to smack the adult and ask if they liked it.

  In the UK if you are seen smacking your child in public you will be arrested and charged with assalt... Unfortunetly people still get away with it, especially behind closed doors.

  My hubby was smacked as a child and he said it gave him no lasting damage, but he disagrees with smacking and won't smack.

  Smacking isn't right no matter the age... I have got into arguments with people when they said you can't smack a teenager but you can smack a toddler! :S Makes no sense! Peace

  So i gotta ask, and this is the part im always curious about most.... If its the same god talking to you, shelby, tec etc etc, if you all hear different things how do you dear ladies reconcile it...? Just as an example, myelane is exaining to tec why the mixing of company with other worshippers is bad, tec sees it differently, but both claim personal revelation from a divine source.... How is this to be reconciled...?

  It's not God, it's His Son that I hear. :)

  As to Myelaine I have no idea, I have no idea what she's on about. I really should go back and have a read of it all, I tend to skip over Myelaines post's....

  I think this is a very touchy subject as you will always have the people for and the people against.

  Personally I am not a fan of smacking as Babysprout is a child you can reason with and has been since a very small tot. I have seen a child hit another child then the parent has shouted no and smacked the child. :S To me that just confuses a child as to why a grown up can smack them, but they can't smack another child.

  A child getting a slap wouldn't damage them, but a beating is down right wrong... There are plenty of ways to ''lovingly'' discipline a child... There is a saying that you NEVER discipline in anger, becuase when you do it usually results in a slap. When you are calm you can talk and reason with your child. A slap is usually given when the parent is angry and frightened. It's the beating's I disagree with not a slap... Parent's have every right to discipline how they see fit.

  What book would that be? The bible? Well as i'm not a follower of the bible I won't be looking into it. Oh and I didn't judge you, I pointed out FACTS!
