my wife and kid want to do christmas but i don't.
i am not against it but i have no reason to celebrate the holiday.
i'll get the kid some presents, and maybe my wife, but is that alone really "celebrating christmas?
My husband and I spent Christmas day, snugged up on the sofa, reading the books we got, listening to Christmas music and drinking cocoa, while it snowed. It was heaven.
Sounds magical! Can't wait for this year!
Peace
i don't post here and very seldom say anything but would welcome comments.. i've been df'd and away for more than 25 years.
my husband is jewish and last year we joined a temple that we'd attended for high holidays for more 7 years.
so tonite we got a call asking if we would consider being a part of an upcoming service, just a sabbath or something.
Yey! I'm Jewish by blood and i'm obsessed with all things Jewish!
Have a fabulous time and tell us all about it...

What would I want a tree for? Why go through the hassle of decorating?
Watching your kids hang the decorations on the tree, whilst shrieking with laughter cause they are just soo happy they are able to do this. You crack open the mulled wine and mince pies...All this while you have some beautiful xmas music playing in the background and the flames from your fire giving off an ambient glow on that cold dark winters evening....

I LOVE XMAS! I make it very magical and mystical... Xmas is what you make it...If you feel like you need to spend loads of money and stress yourself out, it will be a misreable experience... We keep the costs down and enjoy the music and lights and the hype for it... The food is always yummy!
Last year we had a secret xmas... Xmas day was fun, but to be honest i enjoyed the build up more! Boxing day i went into guilt mode and made me very ill... Not this year! I am free to enjoy every minute and the guilt can frick off! Lol...
Make it magical for your kids... Babysprout was 6 last xmas and she never believed in Santa, i talked with her and told her that if you believe in something hard enough it comes true... Thats how she views Santa... She believes soo hard he comes alive... Last year she wrote her santa list and Carrot set it on fire [this enables it to go straight to Santa]. Then i bought wrapping paper and labels from a shop she never goes in and wrapped the gifts that were on her list. She asked for a new pillow, as she loves her pillow... We cut the label out and made one that said ''santa's workshop, filled by elves''...then on the labels i google searched elves names and wrote on each tag, ''wrapped by ....''. On xmas morning we all feigned ignorance as to where the presents had come from... When she opened them she looked at us shocked. Saying ''i knew he was real, mommy i really believed''... Thats what makes xmas special, seeing the joy and happiness on your childs face...

Mmmmmmm! Yummy thanks miss Syl
''Thank you Syl'' Carrot munches...
''These are delish, thank you miss Syl'' dribbles Babysprout..
Peace from the sprouts
It's chivarly... I love it when a Gentleman gives me a gift... Makes me feel all special... But then again i am very old fashioned...Not into all this ''girl power''....I like to be treated like a lady!
Peace and light
P.S. Send a butterscotch disc my way please
anyone else have any experience of a couple of months after leaving the org...feelings etc??.
my husband has left too and feels the same as i do.. but we just seem to be arguing constantly at the moment, though i do feel this may be my own fault!
i feel soooo angry, bitter and annoyed at how things have turned out.
Im gonna get my little girl into the brownies too
Oh my goodness do it! Babysprout joined the brownies this year a couple of weeks before her 7th b'day... She absolutely loves it! A couple of weeks ago they all went camping in the Scout camp! She came back absolutely full of it....Had the best time ever! It's awesome aswel when they get their badges for all their hard work, makes you feel really proud!
Can you tell i luuuvvvv the Brownies??? Lol...
Peace
