*sigh* i have been noticing lately there are a number of groups of "christians" signing up as members of this forum, with the obvious agenda of gaining converts for their own cult-like religions.
i have been wondering things like:.

I made the mistake of retailating and now i'm the one that is being made to look stupid.. Byyyyy.... wait for it.... ANOTHER CHRISTIAN! I didn't like being told unless i follow their ''Jesus'' i'm going to hell. I will be on a different level to Hitler and the devil though.

this isn't a popularity contest and i know i'm missing some but i wanted to give a special shout out to all of you who have experienced heartbreak and trials because of your wt exit and who i've come to love and respect.
i'm not a mommy myself, but every one of you inspire me.. palmtree, lozhasleft, watersprout, shelby (aguest), lady lee, tec, dinah, nugget, coffeeblack, morbidzbaby, snowbird, lovelylil.
now i feel bad already because i know i'm leaving some wonderful moms out but i wanted to get this thread up so that you all know how much i love you.. and i kinda miss my mom right now.. .

I am soo happy for you! It's a lie that the first year of marriage is the worst... Thats the honeymoon period where you dote on each other and your spouse can do no wrong. Fast forward ten years and you tell them off for eating rice krispies noisely. Lol

as an elder i would have a hard time putting my heart into writing up a local needs talk that was targeting one or two congregation members, knowing full well they probably wouldn't be there to hear it.. .

It was soo stupid! I wish i had heard it too...Carrot just gave me a brief overview, he said it was really embarresing as everyone knew it was about me. Not sure if i was marked. Would they have to announce your name to mark you?

Yep! I was 19 and had my belly button pierced! *gasp*... I went to Carrot cong and an elders daughter overheard me talking about it to my friend. We were in the ladies. She wanted to see it so i showed her. Anyway this elders daughter went back and told her dad she was getting her's done, because i have had mine done. The following thursday, Carrot phones me when he gets back from the meeting and tells me they had a local needs about a ''sister'' who has her belly button pierced and she is leading young ones astray. Having my belly button pierced also stumbled quite a few. I found it really funny, felt rather priviledged to been spoken of off the platform! Lol
The elders in my cong didn't say anything to me, so perhaps they weren't told. I don't know.

i remember my mum standing at the kitchen sink preparing little cypriot meat patties in a beat up enamel dish.
there was a window overlooking the small garden where me and my brother and sisters used to play (wonderful, wonderful times before the cult got its tentacles into our family).. my mum used to sing lots of tunes but this lynn anderson song is the one i remember .
