  We are all dirt

  did you ever stop to realize that we humans are nothing more than dirt?

  we are composed of all the foods we eat and the beverages we drink.

  everything that we consume comes from the ground, from crops grown in dirt.

  Oh dear!

  We are not dirt, filth, rotten despicable specimins..... I could go on but the negatives make me feel nauseous. If we are soo disgusting, why did God send His Son to redeem us??? Can't be all bad can we??

  If you keep saying all these negatives to yourself it destroys the soul... It's not healthy and I for one never say them.

  We are all awesome in our own right. I have friends who are obsessed with saying the ''flesh'' is rotting and God can't bear to look upon us.. Whenever I heard it my spirit died a little.... It made me sad.

  Luckily for us God and His Son see past the flesh and see whats inside...

  Shel doesn't claim to speak to God.... She speaks to His Son Jaheshua. Nor is speaking to the son exclusive. He speaks to everyone, it's just that most people need to open their ''spiritual'' ears to hear.

  Truly , it is worse than the Witnesses.

  Nothing is worse than the witnesses.

  The constant preaching and the tone of having the only insight to God is repulsive to me.

  Shelby has NEVER stated that she has the only insight. There are many on this board that ''hear''... I hear very well, but I have no desire to ''teach''. That's not to say I haven't been taught many things, because I have.

  What happens, or will happen, to Buddha? (According to JW's)

  i noticed a very interesting question from poppers on godrulz's thread concerning buddha and whether or not he went to hell.

  apparently he did according to godrulz, even though he knew nothing about judaism (and the bible gives no indication that the jews traveled to the far east) and he had lived 600 years before christ (so there was no great commission to spread the gospel).. jehovah's witnesses, what do you think?

  my wife and i had a good laugh over this question as when i asked her three times where did buddha go, she kept responding, "he's right here.

  From my understanding Buddha was a man who had a very deep respect for life... He never harmed a living thing and showed love for everything and everyone. He taught that ''Buddha'' is inside all of us.

  What did the guy do wrong to warrent God hating him????

  When I was a dubbie I was taught that all who died would be ressurected... The 144,000 were chosen after Christ died. As regards to Buddha, I thought he would have been ressurected.

  this is about a experience given by someone who was newly baptised ....the demons were troubling her as she was practicing spiritism before she got baptised....once when the demons troubled her she raised her voice and asked arent you afraid of jehovah...and the demons replied we are but currently he is busy gathering his army for armaggedon.....how many of you have heard similar stories?.

  I call BS! There is soo much wrong with that statement, i wouldn't know where to begin!

  I have heard a lot of stories throughout my time in the Org but the one that stood out in my mind was a story of a sister and her husband starting a bible study with a couple at the couples home. Halfway through their study the Walls started to bleed, I asked the sister what did she do during this and she said that her husband and her stayed there and finished up the study with the walls still bleeding.

  If my walls started bleeding, the last thing I would be doing is conducting a bible study! That reaction shows the story to be false!

  Awww sweetheart it's your hormones... Have you thought that your BIL is laying the guilt on your sister. That it could be your BIL that is preventing your neice having a relationship with you??

  Keep the quilt, cherish it... It was made with the love your sister has for you. Things may very well be different when the baby is born.

  Awwww CoCo I'm glad your on the road to recovery. I have heard that if you take an aspirin a day it thins your blood, helping to keep strokes at bay.

  Buried my father today

  i mostly post fluff and music posts on this thread more often now but just thought i would let some people here who still know me about what has been goin on with me recently.

  my dad about a 7 month battle with lung cancer which metastasized to the bones and he died early wed morning.

  my dad was a fascinating man, complex, sometimes open and sometimes a very aloof and detached person.
