I'm sick of the human race!
by watersprout ini really am... just been attacked for posting on a dog rescue picture.
the dog was in a rta and as i was eating my dinner and couldn't see the pictures, heading or comments regarding the dog properly i posted that it could be ''dog bait injuries''... which in the area i live is a nasty problem which is rearing it's ugly head.
dogs are being stolen from back gardens to be used as bait.

The dog was in a RTA and as I was eating my dinner and couldn't see the pictures, heading or comments regarding the dog properly I posted that it could be ''dog bait injuries''... Which in the area I live is a nasty problem which is rearing it's ugly head. Dogs are being stolen from back gardens to be used as bait. This dog was found nearby to me.
Anyway I had the owner of the site attack me then one of the owners little followers put in her tupence worth... There was just no need for it. I thought us animal lovers/activists were in the fight to help animals together... Obviously not!
It got me thinking of this site. We are all ex dubbies and yet ''human nature'' keeps on rearing it's ugly head... Isn't there enough pain and suffering in the world?? Can't we all let bygones be bygones?? So us Christians believe in God and athiests don't... Can't we all live peacefully and not have our beliefs questioned all the time? I don't mean to not defend our stance, but the mocking and the determination that some of you have to get us to ''disbelieve''.
You know what we should all do?? That's right, HUG A TREE! Then after that lets all sit down together to enjoy good food and free flowing alcohol... Then perhaps we could see what we as individuals can do to better the planet just a little, if not as much as we can.
Whose with me?? I'm bringing the alcohol!

Was Your Life As A Jehovah's Witness HORRIBLE???

still, i wish that my upbringing was different.
there's a lot i don't like at all about the witnesses but by the same token, there are some very good people who happen to be jws.. i'm sure some of you hated your life as a witness and i'm sure you have valid reasons..

My life was awful as a witness... I hated every moment of my life... Attempted suicide many times but was always stopped by my Lord... Even now when I think about my life as a child through to my twenties I still cry.... I'm still having repressed memories come up, pretty horrific they are to.
But I still have a family (hubby, sprog, parents, sister, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents) who love me and all my ditsy, air headed ways... So i'm very lucky.
Just wish my parents hadn't opened that door to those who belonged to that BASTARD religion. My life would have been soo different.... Sometimes I think about what my life could have been.... I would still have been the same airy fairy woman, just without all the traumatic shit.

Secret Santa 2011
by nugget inlast year i coordinated secret santa for jwn and am happy to do so again.
however i would like to get organised sooner rather than later since international postage means that santas need to be allocated by the end of november to ensure that presents can be despatched in good time for christmas.
if you wish to participate please let me know and indicate whether you are happy to post internationally or whether you would prefer someone in the same country.

that's between 500 and 1700 children a day, depending on what numbers you accept.
still, no matter which numbers you use, doesn't this make you arrive at one of the following conclusions?.

by watersprout ini have deceided that this year i would like (if you will indulge me) lots of different traditions from lots of different countries and cultures.... so what have you got??.
i also want to hear what makes your christmas super special... what do you do to make up for all those lost years.. babysprout really believes in santa... all the kids in her class have been telling her he isn't real.
i mean what is this, a class full of dubbies??

Still thinking I'm sorry you hate xmas, I hope this year you find something in xmas that makes you happy. I do agree if you have no family xmas is shat. Xmas is all about family and I hate to think of anyone on there own.
Berengaria I remember that ''littlehouse on the prarie episode''... Just goes to show how greedy kids are today... Those girls were soo happy with such simple things, it makes you well up. I will be watching ''dance with the sugar plum fairy'' on xmas day.

Wow I come on to see if anymore people have commented and it's two pages long! Wow! I have read through all your posts and i'm going to borrow one tradition from each of you and celebrate in true sprout style! Babysprout was playing Christmas carols in the car this morning on the way to school! We were singing very loudly and out of tune but it put us both in a really good mood.
Mrquik that sounds lovely... Don't think I can stretch to a caribbean cruise All your traditions are lovely and have really got me in the mood for Christmas now! bthis year lol! Have a fabulous time!
