Oh wow. You really sent that? I'm very curious as to what made you feel you should send her a letter like this, and what you hoped to achieve.

I've often thought that The New System (tm) would end up being a lot like North Korea. But with nylon suits.

Most Ridiculous Thing You've Ever Been Counseled On
by MrFreeze ini'm sure topics like this have already come up but they tend to get hilarious with the absolute absurdity that goes on in the kh.
i was once counseled for not shaving after two days.
i was also counseled by a sister for eating lucky charms cereal.

JWs District Convention 2010 Drawn Closer to Jehovah. My reflections
by onemore inseptember will mark my first year out of the watch towers darkness (pun intended).
i embarked on my full blown search for truth about the truth in april 2009, and by september of that same year i was convinced the organization was no different than any other religion; but i was wrong again.
because if there were like any other christian denomination, such as the baptists, methodists, presbyterians, lutherans, etc...it would have been a lot easier to endure sitting in their meetings, listening to their rhetoric, and engaging in some of their activities.

Is it really worse than it used to be, do you think, the exhortation to separate themselves from non-JW family? Bastards.
My mum heard my brother and step-dad saying that I was full of dangerous apostate ideas a few weeks ago, after I asked about the scriptural basis for the overlap theory. And since then I've barely heard from him. I thought it was odd, because up until then he'd seen any challenge I made as just that - a good natured challenge and the chance to get a few more hours in. (I always asked, never told and was careful not to criticise.) But now, evidently, I'm too apostate to do that with.
My next trip home should be a cozy affair...

Was mine not obvious enough? Hmm, must be because I used an actual Watchtower quote (edited for chicken content)...
Actually that's pretty much exactly what I would have said. :-)

Mr. Flipper Talks with Bethel Legal Service Desk Rep About JW Child Abuse
by flipper inwell - i had been wanting to do this for a long time , to question a legal department representative at bethel about the child abuse settlements and jw child abuse, since last year when the news came out about it.
especially since my dad , an elder for years was never aware of it and has on his own taken steps to see that families with children are informed if a former pedophile is in their congregation.
i was curious as to what the current views and policies in place are .

Am I remembering this right? After Armageddon, God is going to let Satan loose again for a thousand years so that everyone has a chance to prove that they are faithful to God. Whoever is still faithful and good after this period gets to live on into Paradise 2.0. And some are going to prove unfaithful, and won't make it to the next thousand years. There will still be free will in the first thousand years. Is that right?
Because if it is, then basically, some people will still be able to do bad things. Only in Paradise 1.0, everything is run by the Watchtower Theocracy. There will be no police, or courts. If someone does something bad to you, you have nowhere to go but the Watchtower legal department. Which will probably still be run with this kind of attitude.
Does that sound right?
Well the WT can shove their paradise up their arses then, because that doesn't like a world I'd want to live in.

Bugger, AZ, it falls on my brother's convention weekend too. I'm sure it's a complete coincidence that they decided to have this particular WT studied during convention season though, right?
