Can't wait to see the excitement of the discovery over on jwtalk, followed quickly with the excuses and rationalization of presence of the Ankh symbol...best running theory?: Some apostate palace worker carved the symbol on his seal, Hezekiah found out and had it thrown away in the trash. See? That's why it was found in the trash, and it's further evidence of King Hezekiah's zeal for pure worship!!

It could be due to any number of reasons. As others have cited, it could be costs associated with permitting issues, etc.
My best guess is that they may have been offered some new incentive by the buyers of the Brooklyn properties to move out 4 months earlier than planned. Those new Brooklyn developers may be looking at some benefit to them to get started earlier than planned (permitting, project financing, any myriad of NYC building restrictions, regulations, etc.)

Years ago the Government of India through the finance ministry withdrew the license that the WBTS had to receive foreign funds. It was commonly acknowledge that the funds were stopped because WBTS did not carry out any charitable works, as listed by the government to claim tax exemption. As a result WBTS stopped shipment of Bibles, bound volumes, cassettes, and a huge list of publications. Several hundred bethelites and special pioneers were dismissed.
The opening post seems to be an extension of what has already been taking place.Just so I understand this correctly, the WTB&TS was faced with a decision...start carrying out charitable works, or be forced to pull the plug on supplying huge amounts of "spiritual food" to the masses in India.
Hmmm....let me think. WWJD?
Yeah, let's just pull the plug on 17% of the world's population.

Cooperate Members of the Watchtower Society
by James Jack ina older sister in miami florida has told me that the special pioneer couple who got their walking papers last week said they are also voting members of the watchtower society.
also his stock share is valued at $800,000!.
i did some research and spoke to some longtime witnesses and found out that there are 500 voting members of the society and they are also called shareholders.. has anyone ever of someone selling his share?.

Pretty sure they don't have any value.
There is someone I know that is a decades-long shareholder. The only "benefit" I am aware of is that they are required to be invited to attend the Annual Meeting because they're a shareholder. Isn't that really what the Annual Meeting was originally for-- a shareholder meeting?
Haha....I wonder what would happen if a shareholder DA'd or got DF'd!

Previously they couldn't technically disfellowship you for marrying a non-J.W., however they recently "clarified" their translation of one the words used in a Bible verse they use to justify the disfellowshipping arrangement. It used to be translated "loose conduct" and was generally applied to behavior of an adult nature. That is now translated as "brazen conduct", and can include brazenly ignoring the repeated scriptural counsel from elders on a matter
So if the elders are aware of your relationship, they may choose to repeatedly counsel her on the issue, warning her of the dangers of marrying a non-JW. If, in their minds, she "brazenly" ignores their Bible-based counsel on the subject, they hypothetically could choose to charge her with "brazen conduct" and disfellowship her. It's really up to the discretion of her local elders.
If she chooses to keep your relationship or marriage plans private, the elders wouldn't have the opportunity to counsel her repeatedly, and therefore she wouldn't get the opportunity to display "brazen" conduct.

The local needs item for the week commencing November 30, 2015, will be dedicated to providing information regarding congregation assignments for the 2016 regional conventions and the approved hotel arrangements. Therefore, please keep the local needs free that week. More details will be provided in the future.
Hmmm...wonder if they're changing the "approved hotel arrangements". And why wait to provide the details, why not just include them in this letter? Oh, that's right, because it will appear here instantaneously.

What I find amusing about it is that J-dubs always love to judge "Christendom" for their elaborate churches full of expensive materials and finishes, and biblical imagery on the walls. Yet they fawn over and show off this theatre that is full of all those things.
We were recently touring a historic church in another country with some J-dubs and they were all commenting how freaked out they were over all the bible scenes painted on the walls and . "I'm so glad our Kingdom Halls don't look like this!" I couldn't help myself and finally said, "Actually all these fancy columns and wall murals remind me of the Stanley Theatre." The looks on their faces was priceless. One person offered up a quiet: "Well that's different.", but the whole group suddenly stopped their criticism of Christendom's churches.
If you hung a big crucifix over the stage it would indistinguishable from a lot of big churches out there.
Closest thing the Watchtower has to St. Peter's Basilica.
