It is nice to see tec and PS haven't lost the JW ability to do all sorts of mental gymnastics to justify horrendous actions by a "loving" god in the Bible.

The account of Ananias and Sapphira at Acts 5 categorically proves the Bible is not inerrant
by yadda yadda 2 ingo and read it again at acts 5: 11. ananias and sapphira drop dead at peter's feet for "playing false to god/holy spirit" by not giving all of the money to peter that they got from a field they sold.
ananias and sapphira were christians.
they wanted to help the poor and so sold one of their possessions, a field, and gave most of the money to peter.

How long did it take you to prepare for talks or parts in the KM school?
by OneDayillBeFree inseveral years ago, whenever i got a talk slip i would get really nervous but accept it and work on it almost immediately.
of course that was way back when i still believed it all.. now they gave me a #3 talk out of the blue about a month ago and i had forgotten all about it till the meeting night.
i really thought about not showing up at all but at the last minute, i decided to go.. so when i got there the meeting had already started and so i just stayed in the back looked at the info, found 2 scriptures and then without any notes i went up and gave the stupid talk!.

what is the earliest age you heard someone get Baptised?
by enigma1863 ini was curious what is the youngest age any jw has been baptised.
i thought it was hypocritical for jws to say wait for marriage because its such a big deal but "why wait to get baptised".
i think my step sister was 11 years old.

The "Pop-In"

now it's dark, snowing and i live on a back road, so it's very odd to have a visitor.

Hate the "pop-in." I was still living at home when I stopped going to meetings so I'd be up in my room having minding my own business and all the sudden I'd hear a knock on my bedroom door and there a brother would be.

free2beme, you do it the right way. Look at what they offer and decide what you like best. The partisan BS of both the Democrats and the Republicans is irritating. My guy can do no wrong. Their guy can do no right. It seems to be getting worse and worse and the people in the middle find themselves without someone to fully lend their support.

They asked me all the time. I'd get to the hall and they'd say "Hey, Bro. Noshow isn't here. Can you fill in for his talk?" I'd look up a few points and was good to go. Would take me less than 5 minutes.
