  Okay kids!!I need prayers, karma, or good thoughts

  i went to shut my door ( it has ice in the ledge) i shoved it with my side ugh!!!.

  if i laugh or cough i near die with pain.i went to the hospital for xrays.

  it is a torn muscle.

  Hard Wood Floors

  does anybody have any tips on keeping hard-wood floors clean?

  seems like 10 minutes after i clean them they are a mess again.

  at least with carpet it was harder to notice all the little doodads that wind up on the floor.

  Overcoming objections

  how do you overcome the following objections if you were to reason with a jw?.

  1. jehovah uses imperfect people to accomplish his will.

  in bible times, he used imperfect servants to accomplish great things.. 2. we must wait on jehovah for clarification on matters.. .

  1. Jehovah used imperfect people in Bible times. How many times would you say errors in teachings are found in the Bible? After all, if both the Bible and WT are inspired (directed) by the Spirit, shouldn't they both meet the same criteria? If the WT isn't the word of God, it is nothing more than the word of man. We all know what the Bible says about that. So we shouldn't be looking at the WT as the be-all, end-all authority on what the Bible says. After all, unlike the Bible, it could be teaching incorrect things.

  2. This goes right along with point one. If the WT is not inspired by God, why would we wait for answers from Jehovah through it?

  The WT (and JW's) uses such circular reasoning it is almost impossible to have an intelligent conversation with them.

  If you want a wild party, I'm not the guy you want to party with. I like just sitting and relaxing. Nothing quite like sitting on a porch with a beer in hand, bs'ing with a couple of friends.

  I will party with anyone who brings some good beer though.

  Urgent: Pope Benedictus resigns: a good example for GB

  just in the news: pope benedictus is resigning.

  this should be a good example for the gb of our church organization.

  there are reasons enough: child abuse (conti case etc), failed prophecies (slave classe, un/osce), killing doctrines (blood doctrine etc, shunning / suicide) and fraude (investment corporation instead of church).. so it would be nice to read on bbc news: governing body of jehovah's witnesses resigns and make way for a new generation that embraces christian freedom.. gorby.

  I remember they made a change in the Revelation book speculating the king of the north (I think it was king of the north) was China.

  We had a brother who had a mind like an encyclopedia. He knew a lot of Biblical Greek and Hebrew. King of the north was one of his favorite things to speculate about. When he died his wife said "The first thing he's gonna say when he gets resurrected is 'Who was the king of the north?'"

  larsinger thinks we are.

  i have to answer this because it makes my blood boil.

  this is one of the key things that trapped me in a religion for the first 30 years of my life.. we were told the archaeologists have found ur of the chaldeans, babylon, nineveh and evidence for the existence of the hittites.therefore the other things in the bible must be true.. archaeologsts have also found troy in modern day turkey.

  well on wednesday i am going to be getting my first tattoo.

  i have had this particular piece of art that i have wanted for years but was too afraid to put it to skin as it will require a great amount of detail.

  but i finally decided to go for it.

  Never really liked Avenged Sevenfold as a band but The Rev was awesome.

  Should make for a nice looking tat. I have been thinking about getting one for a while. I guess I'm just too lazy. It would also be musical themed. The London Calling album cover. Just the outline of Joe Strummer smashing the guitar. Wouldn't be too big or flashy.

  A message to the entire organization of JWs

  we are going to do some real quick math here, very simple math.

  we have established that elders are not appointed by god, that is done.

  there are people on this message board that (i do believe) who have said that they basically smooched ass for a few months and were appointed ms (same holds true for elder just more ass smooching).

  I never kissed ass to become a MS. Apparently, just doing what I do was good enough for them. But it kind of illustrates your point because I wasn't 100% mentally in when they appointed me.

  I aksed several horses their opinion about the horse meat scandal and here is what they had to say:

  Secretariat: "It's a terrible tragedy. I hope everyone boycotts any companies that bought from them."

  Seabiscuit: "There should be some kind of oversight to make sure something like this never happens again."

  Barbaro: "How could a mistake like this be made? I mean, how do you accidentally put horse meat in something?"

  Sarah Jessica Parker: "How many times do I have to tell you people I'm not a horse?"
