I've thought this before too. The answer always boils down to "It is magic. God can do what he wants." That's the usual response to things like this.

I've watched this video a few times. It is really quite sad. To be honest, I think they are worse because it is such a closed-knit community in the WBC it is almost impossible to secretly violate their shunning protocols.
I never agreed with shunning and I never practiced it. Even as a JW this would have made me disgusted seeing as how I was always sort of disgusted at the practice by JW's.

There are people (I'm referring to non-JW's) who disagree with people defining the JW's as a cult. Not sure how they can see it any other way.

It was kind of like "I know what the answer is but I have to ask it anyway." I think (I can't remember exactly though) that another question was "Do you have a girlfriend?"
He was still serving as an elder when I left. He was one of the elders that talked to me in the back room. He was recently transferred to another Kingdom Hall.

I can't honestly remember. Somewhere between 6 and 8.
Gayle, if I remember correctly, I was only asked a few questions. One was "Do you smoke?" I was around 7 years old. WTF
