Only movie I ever walked out of was Superbad... and that was mostly because I thought it just wasn't very funny.

What movie did you walk out on when a jw? Have you seen it since? What changed?
by Wasanelder Once inok i walked out on austin powers because i thought it was so crude and god dishonoring.
since the fade i think it is very funny, still not a favorite but not the end of the world either.
any movies that were a big sin are nothing now?

Does Almighty God think about......... ?
by Phizzy inalmighty god must have had a lot of time for thinking, so he must have sat there, at least once and thought along the lines of:.
"i wonder if i am actually almighty god, or is there something or someone greater than me ?".
"how can i know i have always existed?".

LOL @ punkofnice! Being a weird loner like that and suddenly have a bunch of people thrust into your life like that can cause you to have a terrible reaction! Such as murdering a bunch of kids because their parents didn't accept the Watchtower magazine where the JW featured an article on what sex acts don't get Jehoover off.

That's absolutely horrible.
finally awake, the situation kind of reminds me of how my friend's mom used to do the Bible Stories book with some kids she knew, always with the parents permission of course.

Got a angry letter from our oldest son today we are very hurt from it.
by TotallyADD inwhen i got home today from work my wife showed me a 5 page letter from our oldest son.
he basically said he does not what anything to do with us because of all the wrong things we did as parents to him and his brother.
he blames us for not being there for him and we are toxic parents.

Question for some of the other gay posters
by littlerockguy inhave you guys seen the meme on facebook going around about "tim tebow vs jason collins" comparing tebow "bashed for professing christ" and collins "praised for homosexuality" and then at the bottom the scripture isaiah 50:20: woe to those who call evil good and good evil?
i have had a couple friends of mine post that on their wall and it showed up on my wall.
i don't care what they believe however it just bothers me that they didn't think that i would find it offensive.

I have no problem with Tebow's faith. What I have a problem with, is how he was put out there like he is some great quarterback, when anyone with any football IQ knows he is a lousy QB. Then there are the people that said god was helping him win football games. Wait, now that I think about it, maybe it was divine intervention that helped him actually win some games.
I'm not gay, but I thought I'd weigh in on my opinion of Tebow

Why we have Conspiracy Theorists......
by cantleave ineveryone knows a conspiracy theorist (let's face it we have a few on this board).
my attention has been to drawn to an article in the new york times, which i have pasted below.
apparently people with propensity to create conspiracy theory narratives are quite sane, even though they may have low self worth and cannot fully ascertain their place in the world.

I believe there is a shred of truth to most conspiracy theories. Unfortunately, they tend to get way out there. Usually the truth is somewhere in the middle.

How can he be Jesus if Lars is already Jesus?
