...The WBT$ Theft of Kingdom Hall Bank Accounts and JW Elders...
by OUTLAW in.. the new wbt$ donation arrangement/ jw kingdom hall bank account theft... is a very hot topic right now... the wbt$ is literally going to clean out kingdom hall bank accounts, filled with donations from jws... that theft is going to happen world wide..the wbt$ is going to steal from 7 million plus jw`s... .. we have jw elders here on jwn, that know whats going on... they "serve" in kingdom halls, they are "supposed" to be looking after the welfare of the average jw... they know there is a 4 page letter, only one page will be read to the congregation..the rest will be kept secret... they know the wbt$ is about to steal jw donations..on a world wide scale!!!...
.. i would like to know what you active jw elders are going to do about this??!!...
are you going to let "your" congregation know about the other 3 secret pages?...

I bought an OJ Simpson jersey as a joke and wore it once. My "friend" said we couldn't hang out as long as I owned that jersey. He owned a Ben Roethlisberger jersey mind you.

The INTJ Personality Type, (and those close to it)
by done4good ini am compelled to write a bit about this at this late hour here in the us, because it is keeping me up.. the recent four year old thread on the briggs myers personality type test that was dug up, produced an interesting finding.
many here, (at least tested informally for), the intj personality type.
intjs also do not understand irrational behavior particularly well at all.. why does this matter?

Atheists, here is a 'balls' question ---even for all---
by prologos init is very difficult to knock a ball into a hole (like golf), throw it into a receiver's hands (american football) intercept it and knock it over the fence (american cricket).
or to put a sattelite at the right time at the right speed in the right direction in the right place to have it orbit another body, so :.
what ingenious natural & process is it, than can get 9+ zillions bodies to get into the right orbit simultaniously or sequentially and have them remain there for billions of years?

Considering one day our galaxy will collide with another galaxy I'm not sure I would view that as order.

Article: Why are Millennials less religious? It's not just because of gay marriage
by AndersonsInfo inhttp://theweek.com/article/index/257009/why-are-millennials-less-religious-its-not-just-because-of-gay-marriage.
why are millennials less religious?
it's not just because of gay marriage.

I think the internet has a lot to do with it. Most religions have a very shady past and the readily information available on the internet has helped to expose it like never before. I would say that millennials are still some form of spiritual, just not associating it with any religion.

An important question for active JW's
by Honesty inif you and a fellow jehovah's witness went to a house where the homeowner brought up a watchtower doctrine which you secretly disagree with, would you defend it or tell them what it is you really believe?.
either way you are at a loss.. defending something you disagree with is living a lie and telling a lie.
not defending it and telling the home owner what you really believe makes you an apostate by watchtower society standards.

Wait but I thought Jehovah "chose" his people in 1919. So you're saying Jehovah didn't choose the JW's then? You're trying to distance the IBSA from the JW's. So Jehovah didn't choose the IBSA back then? The JW's are wrong about this? If you don't think the JW's of today should be associated with the IBSA of yesteryear then why do you think that Jehovah would have wanted to associate with them?

Special Assembly Day - tepid applause
by sir82 injust got back from a recent sad.. after most talks, the applause was, at most, tepid.. it was striking in its tepidity, if that is possible (and if that is a word).. affter most talks, applause lasted literally no more than 5 seconds.
its volume was scarcely above a whisper.. it wasn't acoustics - the bethel speaker was technically a polished speaker (although presenting the same old boring info), and his talks generated noticeably louder applause.
but even still - that applause was maybe 10 seconds, and about normal-conversation level.. but local speakers - the applause was not much more loud than the hum coming from your refrigerator.. there were 1300+ people there.. it was just so weird - my previous large-group experience was at the agm, where people were nearly apoplectic & drooling with delight over their new "silver bibles" (which very few have read, i'd wager).. these guys were just "zombified".. speaking of bibles - bethel dude called it a "platinum bible".

Is the Watchtower Destroying All Thinking Skills of New Witness, Compare them to when you were in the Organization!
by RottenRiley inmany jws don't know the basic doctrines we all use to debate the clergy with.. .
jws don't know the bible, the know a few proof-texts but can't handle the bible like the witnesses of 1950s-1990s, what happened?.
the caliber of the new elders is horrible when compared with the elders of 1950s-1990s, they don't know how to use their bible, they are turning towards orgnazational minor details while ignoring the bible and gospel message.. .

There was one JW elder in my hall (he passed about 8 or so years ago) who was one of the smartest people I ever knew. Of course it was wasted on being a JW. His memory was remarkable. He knew the ins and outs of the Bible. He had studied many different translations and new a lot about the Greek/Hebrew languages. I enjoyed when he was my book study conductor. I learned a lot from him (not just about WT stuff). I don't think any of the new age JW's are built to be as learned as he was.
