Glad to hear that! A lot of JW's go out and get crazy as a way of getting their yayas off. Have fun!

Considered rebellious because I choose to think for myself
by LovelyEunie inhi all, this is my first post.
but i was one of those kids that was born into the whole jw thing, and like a good little witness kid i did everything i was supposed to do to please my parents (mainly my mom my dad's an unbeliever).
my mom was very strict with me when it came to everything they taught, no holiday parttys at school, no sports, no worldy friends, i was only supposed to associate with other jw kids (my mom is one of those extremist jws, she says she doesn't judge, but she's a perfect example of one one of those sisters with the holier than thou attitude).

Feb. 15th WT - WT Society says DFed Ones are Lawless- Just Like Demons
by flipper ini would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.
the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".
anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".

seperating anger for WT from my mom
by dogisgod ini posted this earlier under the bitterness post.
how do i seperate the anger i have being raised in the borg from my mother who forced it down my throat even after i left.
she justwouldn't leave it alone.

Just remember, your mom was probably a good person at heart but just misguided by the WT. People talk about people who are controlling like its necessarily a bad quality. I don't really see it that way. Many times people are controlling because they want what they believe is best for you. Sometimes they don't really know whats best as in the case of your mother. I do have to agree with the counselor though, your mother was a victim and frankly viewing her as that is the only thing that will help you look at her in a different light.

LovelyEunie, that's a very moving story.
I just hope you don't leave the JW's and then go get yourself in trouble.
I want to have some type of freedom in my life, I want to be able to experience things I was ever allowed to experience because I was always told it's bad in God's eyes.
It's great to have freedom to choose for yourself but the mistake many young exJWs make is taking that freedom a little bit too far, and thats when you really get into trouble. Have fun with your new found freedom but be careful at the same time.

Questions to ask from Bible Teach Ch 8
by InterestedOne ini'm going to my jw "bible" study tonight.
we are on chapter 8 and will pick up at par 15. any suggestions for questions to ask?.

MrFreeze
I hope you succeed InterestedOne.
When I laid out my doubts about the organization to the elders, I presented them with 607. It's really remarkable how it just bounces off them. Nothing sinks in. Hopefully you will have better luck than I did. I printed out the timeline of kings and everything. They just ignore it. I wouldn't expect to have much success against this person but keep pressing about it.

Hypocrisy 101 - Watchtower has Payed for College/College Courses for Bethelites!
by Crisis of Conscience inno you did not read the title wrong.
i was out to eat this weekend with two bethelites.
one gave a talk in my hall and i was invited out to dinner with them by another family in my hall.. as the conversation always turns to "spiritual" things, the subject of education was brought up.

Well how else are they supposed to get big fancy lawyers to protect them from all their lawsuits?

3/15 WT " Do Not Deceive Yourself "- WT's Excuses for No Armageddon
by flipper inwith the new " overlap generation " theory that the wt society is pushing onto rank and file jehovah's witnesses since last year this article i found really heavy hitting in the jw version of the wt.
the wt society is leaking oil in that confidence is low among jw's in not really buying into the " generation overlap " theory as many younger jw's are exiting the organization.
so what better way to try reeling members back in by giving them an article entitled " do not deceive yourself with false reasoning " !

They keep pushing and pushing that the end is right around the corner. They've been doing it for over 100 years. Then they blame the rank and file for being overly anxious about it.
If I was waiting for two house guests and one of them kept calling me and said "we are five minutes from your house" and they never showed up. Let's say they kept doing this for hours and hours, what would you think about the guest who keeps calling you?

Yup, they view them as demons. There are many DF/DA ones that become apostate and an elder told me that me looking at apostate teachings was like talking to the demons.

Most embarassing JW moment
by mamalove inmine will surely give me away, but i don't care.
when i was preggers, i was supposed to have a c-section the first week of the new month.
so i knew i needed to go out in service so i would not be irregular that month.

These will probably give me away but I don't really care either way.
Middle of a boring Watchtower Study and one of the sister's cell phones go off... "We fly high, no lie, ballin!" She's having trouble getting it turned off so she runs out into the lobby and you just hear it getting fainter and fainter. Everybody was cracking up.
We had this one brother in our hall who was quite the character. He had the most distinct hearty laugh and I think everyone in the circuit recognized it. He would go to a lot of the halls trying to pick up women. There's a long story of him trying to court my mom for over a year after my dad died but I won't go into that right now. He was at the book study they were talking about Muslims suicide bombing to get 72 virgins or whatever and he shouts out, without even raising his hand at the very least, "72 virgins! Blow me up now!" and then he let out with his hearty laugh.
Then we had the instance of my brother who was about 5 at the time. My mom had him answer when they do those questions for the kids with one word answers like "Jehovah" or "Jesus". Instead of saying Jehovah he says "Batman!"
Here's another story. The one sister in our hall would always invite friends of her kids who weren't Witness kids to come to the meeting. They didn't want to come but it was the only way she would allow her kids to hang out with them. So the one day one of them falls asleep during the Watchtower study. Keep in mind he's wearing an Ozzy Osbourne shirt at the meeting. He wakes up with about 10 minutes left, stands up, stretches, yawns really loud and then says really loudly "Is the meeting over yet?"
Good times...
