I couldn't take it any longer. I tried to adjust my attitude always thinking maybe I was wrong. Before I left I was getting sick at meetings. I would, honest to god, feel like I was going to throw up during every meeting. That's how much I disliked the meetings and what I was doing at the time.

JW's believe all non-JW's are going to die at Armageddon. This can't be debated. This is what they've said. I would say I'm the kind of guy who lives a quiet, unassuming life. I try to help people when I can and I believe I'm generally a pretty good person. Despite that, God will destroy me at Armageddon. This is what JW's believe.
You know what, even if all of that were true and I knew for sure that it was, I don't think I would want to worship a God like that.

Feb. 15th WT - WT Society says DFed Ones are Lawless- Just Like Demons
by flipper ini would assume that some or a good number of us here as normal humans in this society - consider " lawless " actions to include murder , robbery, extortion, rape, child abuse, war , terrorism, etc.
the wt society has their own definition of what's considered " lawless ".
anything that's considered a disfellowshipping offense in the jehovah's witnesses is now considered " lawless ".

3/15 WT " Do Not Deceive Yourself "- WT's Excuses for No Armageddon
by flipper inwith the new " overlap generation " theory that the wt society is pushing onto rank and file jehovah's witnesses since last year this article i found really heavy hitting in the jw version of the wt.
the wt society is leaking oil in that confidence is low among jw's in not really buying into the " generation overlap " theory as many younger jw's are exiting the organization.
so what better way to try reeling members back in by giving them an article entitled " do not deceive yourself with false reasoning " !

not that i really care what these people think anyway but i'm just wondering what rumours, half-truths and outright lies are being spread about me.
i have someone in my old congregation who i still keep in contact with.

Not that I really care what these people think anyway but I'm just wondering what rumours, half-truths and outright lies are being spread about me. I have someone in my old congregation who I still keep in contact with. He seems like he may be on his way out soon enough as well for various reasons. Do you think I should ask him what people have been saying or should I just leave well enough alone? I've been very curious. What do you all think?
