apparently some poster had had a visit by some elders and had felt ganged up on.
he described this as getting a "whipping", much like we have seen recent allegations of someone here being recently used as a "whipping boy" for another poster.
btw - if someone is prepared to call you then you KNOW they are not being dishonest - not hiding.
no, I don't *know* that, I think it is folly to give your phone number on-line to a stranger. Especially one you have no idea who they are. For all I knew you would be posting it all over with all sorts of suggestions. How would I know otherwise of a complete stranger who I have read little of their words and had never exchanged words with??

Oh yes, you with the alias, talking to me and not revealing who you are when I say "I don't know you" when you ask for my phone number in chat so we can talk! Yep, you are the epitome of honesty. LOL
In fact I would say a truce is good. Very good idea. I think not a whole lot of you and you obvioulsy feel the same about me so hey, we can go our merry seperate ways.

Now there you have hit the nail on the head! See, I have been critical of his friend Amazing and he has had the horrible task of defending the indefensible. He, needless to say, has failed miserably at this soooooo.... now he has assumed a new name, Gravedancer, and is busy trying to rally support against me in chat etc. (I saw with my own eyes Msil don't try to deny it)
It is a sad state of affairs and one can only guess such methods were learned at his local KH. Poor pitiful soul that he is.

when you start reading rays book and find out that everything you know to be factual, the only constant, solid, truth in the universe is just nothing?
i've known this in my head since i started reading posts here on xmas day but i have never really believed it.
i thought i just wanted to believe it so that i could rid myself of some of this guilt i've always carried around.

You asked a few indignant questions regarding my whipping post and then follwed them up with inquiries as to why I am posting here having never been a JW, or something to that effect. I answered *almost* in kind, not quite a snotty as I took your post to be. You claimed my words to be so cruel you could hardly believe it (which I think a bit dramatic but you are entitled to your opinion). Anyway, I went back in, explained why I said what I said, how I had taken your post and tried to make amends and come to an understanding with you.
Then I saw you in chat and decided to go even a step further in making sure that we understood each other and that there was no hard feelings between us, because I think it is the adult way to handle things. You assured me all was well and even thanked me for making the efforts to explain myslef so you'd better understand where I was coming from. I came away from both exchanges (chat and posts) with the feeeling we had overcome a mild understanding and all was well.
Now I hear you were trash talking me in chat last night and one of your partisans (who I don't know from Adam) was quick to jump on the bandwagon. Inasmuch as this is not the sweet, undertanding, kind-hearted Ana we have seen so much of here on JWD I am compelled to ask for an explanation.

You are at a loss for words because I read some irritation in your post? You didn't merely ask "So Julie, how come you're so interested in JW issues when you've never been one?" No, you wrote:

Perhaps I am not much of a fluffer so I see here that you insinuate I couldn't possibly understand and had no business commenting. Of course double standards are not exclusive to the WT world and since my post was on double standards I guess I was taken aback by both the timing and the tone of your inquiry.
I hope this meets your criteria Ladonna for me to continue associating with you all. I think it is common knowledge that those outside of the WT actually know more about it than those in. I mean how many loyal JWs do you think know about the UN thing? I am horrified at what this org. does, was extremely disappointed to learn the truth of it too. Lost what I considered a valued friend too.:This was cruel and senseless Julie. I can hardly believe you are writing this. Guess I don't want to believe it.
I am guessing the part of me hoping my background meets your criteria as the cruel part. Again, I refer to the timing and tone of your inquiry. I know you are none too pleased with the words I had for your friend Amazing in recent days, couldn't help but guess that you were being a bit crabby with me for that.
I certainly hope that you do not think my assertion that those outside the borg know more about it than those in to be a cruel statement. I see it talked about here all the time. In fact, isn't it because someone actually learns more truths about the WT that they generally get out? Don't they then usually go on to learn things they never dreamed to be true about the WT?
My intent was not to be cruel, offend you or leave you speechless. Merely to explain it all and I happened to take very slight offense at the tone and timing of your inquiry as explained.
Hope we both understand where the other is coming from now.
