I would batter them using buttermilk and flour with salt and pepper. Then I would deep fry them at 325 until golden brown and toss them into the lion cage at the zoo.

WT 15 June - Approves of Internet?
by Nemesis ini just noticed this in the latest mags (15 june, 2002, see picture below) on the top box: if we want .
a concordance to the bible, we can find no better than the internet.. im just wondering if this will lead more witnesses to indulge in some web surfing, with the inevitable consequences of them coming across some critical matter?
lets hope so!

Looking at paragraph 17 it looks like they continue on in the same vein as I mentioned in my above message. I can't see the rest of the article but it looks like they are arguing that the author's original audience or meaning is irrelevant, and that all scriptures are applied to everyone.
Interestingly they will then turn right around and tell their own members that 90% of the New Testament only applies to the JW elite 144000 class!!! The hypocrisy is lovely. -

Paragraph 16 is a direct answer to the Blood argument where the context of the scripture is used to point out the meaning of "Abstain from Blood".
In effect they are simply declaring that the author's intended meaning DOES NOT MATTER. As to how they can claim something like this which I would characterize as complete and utter bullshit, with no more explanation than "it would relegate the books to mere history" is a complete mystery; But of course it is perfectly in character for the deceptive watchtower.

Tiny Cracks in the Foundation
by TMS intwo unsettling incidents are lodged in my memory.
they are unrelated, except in the general sense that they opened tiny fissures in the foundation of my belief system.
returning from the summer assembly in kansas city, missouri in 1969, i was approached by tom moore, a plain-speaking circuit overseer .

WT Resolution regarding UN
by messenger inthe resolution.
we jehovah's witnesses, met together in [city, state, country], in one of the "everlasting good news" assemblies being held in a continuous chain around the whole world this year of 1963, do this day declare and resolve as follows:.
2 that the one living and true god, the creator of heaven and earth, whose name is jehovah, is the only god whom we fear and glorify.

These are not much different than some schizophrenic wacko in a cabin somewhere writing up a manifesto that no one gives a rats ass about.

Mark my words.....Time is short.....
by LDH inthe society will not and can not allow current levels of defection without sanction.
shunning is their hallmark and what allows members to live in their hypnotic dream-like state, away from the evil informative apostates.. soon they will have to either change their baptism questions again, with the phrasing something like &"only by doing all the things jw in good standing do can we be considered as jw" blah blah blah.
they will then use that as a springboard to da or df members who don't attend meetings.. either that, or they will adopt another one of their stunning resolutions [8>]like they've resolved in the past.

Lisa,
You shouldn't be so flippant about the resolutions. After all, many of them have been prophesied in the Bible!!!
bahahahah
How about those times they have a vote in the hall. Some schmuck raises his hand to 'make a motion' , another schmuck seconds it. Then everyone votes for it. Does anyone EVER vote against?? what a joke, what's the use of voting?

Should we fear death?
by sleepy inshould we fear death?.
how do you feel about dying?.
after leaving the witnesses i find i am ever more aware of my own mortality.before i could comfort myself with the idea that i could be ressurected.i think the realisation that death will completly end my life , and that there was nothing afterward , was one of the most difficult things to come to terms with.. generally i don't think about it , but when some happens and i do , the idea , quite frankly scares the hell out of me.. but does death really bring the end to us?.

To answer the question yes I fear death, but only because of the effect my death would have on my loved ones. I know how devastating it would be to lose my wife, I hate the thought of her having to go through that when I die.

My pet hope is that a future benevolent highly advanced society will rescue each of us at the point of death. That society will be so advanced technologically to us it will seem like magic. It would be like the movie What Dreams May Come.
