My guess is that if you say bless you at the hall no one will "correct you". If you are studying with someone they probably will explain why not to say bless you, but only if they feel your ready for that. jurs

I think he's a troll too, and he's being awfully quiet now. So my question is , Do you think the trolls are JW's making up stories ? I remember a troll that once came on and said his neice got aids from someone in the congregation. I couldn't believe that anyone would come on this forum to stir up problems . But they do. i haven't been in the org for a long time, but it seems that whenever someone sneezes, you are not supposed to say "bless you" ///// why is this so??

i personaly don't see anything wrong w/saying bless you !

How funny!!!! I would get uncomfortable if someone sneezed because I couldn't say bless you yet I didn't want to appear rude since really that is just a form of good manners. I would never have told a worldly person either that I couldn't say that because I knew how stupid it would sound. How do intelligent people all conform to such silliness? jurs

What are your thoughts on writing DA letters?

as most of you know, i have been inactive for about 2 1/2 yrs and completely out for about 7 months.

i am debating on wether or not to write a letter of da to the org or not.

in some ways i just want closure, and on the other hand i dont want to play by their rules.

Well maybe DA letters affect some but not all. The DA letters didn't make me leave the org instead it just sat with other issues that nagged at me. I think alot has to do with your personality. I suppose I can be a bit of a drama queen. Its been over a year sinse I DA'd myself and I think back and it seems kindof funny. I mean I called friends that were JW's and told them before it became official and they couldn't talk. I called bible studies. I had one hell of a meeting with the elders when they came to talk to me. I was in their face!!!! It felt good. But I see its not for everyone.
