i know there was a leak a few weeks back, but this really does seem to have come out of the blue.. the anomaly was the original decision.

it clearly had no basis in law or the constitution, and was a flimsy, ridiculous ruling.

Here's something to consider: I read this in a book entitled "Letter to a Christian Nation", written by Sam Harris. In that book, he made this observation: "Of course, the Church's position on abortion takes no more notice of the details of biology than it does of the reality of human suffering. It has been estimated that 50 percent of all human conceptions end in spontaneous abortion, usually without a woman even realizing that she was pregnant. In fact, 20 percent of all recognized pregnancies end in miscarriage. There is an obvious truth here that cries out for acknowledgment: if God exists, He is the most prolific abortionist of all." So, think about this: If it is true that 50 percent of all conceptions end in spontaneous abortion---or, a miscarriage---without the woman even realizing that she IS pregnant---then, who, or what---is responsible for that termination of the existence of a fetus? God? Allah? Yahweh? A supreme being? A deity? The Universe? Just "nature" taking its course? Who? What? Just wondering. Best Regards, Everyone.

January 6th hearings...

Well, I HAVE watched most of the hearings on TV, and they have been very intriguing to THIS 68-year-old mind. The Select Committee has been investigating and interviewing people for almost a year, and now the time has come to reveal to the American public---and the world---what facts have been discovered. I DO NOT believe that the timing has been a way of deflecting people's attention away from the economy or any other current event.

To set the record straight, I did not vote for Joseph Biden. I feel that he should not be the President of the U.S. But, having stated that, I did not vote for Donald J. Trump, either. I honestly feel that he should NOT have been re-elected for another 4-year term as President. I voted for the two Candidates from the American Independent Party, even though I didn't know anything about them, or their stand on issues. (I am not registered as an Independent, I am registered to vote as a Democrat.) Oh, yes, it was probably throwing away my vote, but oh well. Best Regards, Everyone.

in fact it seems none of my doctors knew about it.

There is something that I've been wondering about for a long time. First of all, I have no "skin in the game" whatsoever. I have never had the experience of perpetuating the human race, by contributing to the procreation of any human beings. That is something that I NEVER had any desire to do, and I still do not have any desire to do. Having stated that, I am pro-choice.(I honestly believe that there are too many human bodies on the face of Planet Earth. )_

So, here's my question: If----and I do mean IF--- there is some god, some creator, some "supreme being" out there, who is opposed to terminating the existence of fetuses---notice that I didn't use the term "babies"---and who has the ability to see into the future as to the end result of things---then why, WHY, didn't he/she/it prevail upon the minds of the U.S. Supreme Court Justices, back in 1973, to make a different decision regarding the ruling on the right to privacy? Why did he/she/it wait over 49 years to influence the minds of U.S. Supreme Court Justices to overturn the ruling that was made in 1973? Can anyone clarify this matter for me? i just found out this evening, may 27th, that the well-known greek musician, vangelis, passed away just last week.

may 17th, in fact.

he was 79 years old, which, well, as you know, is old.

Smiddy3: Well, you don't LOOK like you're 83. (How would I know that, since I've never seen you, nor you me???) Yeah, that comment was kind of "tongue-in-cheek". I myself am 68 years old. But, a lot of the time, I FEEL like I am ONE-HUNDRED 68 years old. On a different note, since you are an Australian, I've been meaning to ask you, Are you familiar with a movie titled "Lion"? I watched that movie on DVD about 6 years ago, when a local librarian lady recommended it to me. And, two weeks ago, on that local PBS station here in Southern California, aired it on their "KCET Must See Movies" series. That is an excellent movie, and I'm glad that KCET had it on their list of "must see" movies. Best Regards.....Titch.

I'm Going To The Olympics!

i can barely believe it.

it's really a dream come true.. the culmination of years of training and hard work.. i'm going to the olympics and i'm going to win multiple gold medals.. i finally figured that if a man can identify as a woman and win a medal, then i can identify as a disabled woman, so i reckon i can absolutely clean up at the special olympics.. it's so liberating being woke..

Greetings, Everyone. I just found out this evening, May 27th, that the well-known Greek musician, Vangelis, passed away just last week. May 17th, in fact. Did anyone else know about this? He was 79 years old, which, well, as you know, IS old. Isn't it? At any rate, I found out about his passing, as a result of watching the movie "Chariots of Fire" (from 1981) on the local PBS TV station, KCET. On MOST Friday evenings, KCET has a feature, called "KCET MUST See Movies." Movies that have been nominated/won Academy awards in the past are presented on that show. And, tonight was "Chariots of Fire." I decided to look up some information about "Chariots" on the Internet, and when I clicked on the name Vangelis, Wikipedia took me to the article about Vangelis. As you know, Vangelis did the music score for that movie. He was a great musician; I have several of his CDs. He did a lot of music for the PBS/Carl Sagan-produced series, "Cosmos", which was on PBS back in 1982/1983. So, Farewell Vangelis. I thank you for your musical talents and contributions to the music world.

in the 80s there was an bethel elder in the mexico branch, he was graduated along with his wife ruth becerril from gilead school.

he was in charge of meps and the whole computer department... he then started had sex with a 14 year girl in his congregation in the city of texcoco mexico.... he was then df and kicked of bethel but his wife stayed.

he then moved to usa took the girl with him and married her and a couple of years later was re appointed an elder again.. i saw a news article that an elder ex bethelite computer consultant from concord ca with the same name was charged on 1999 by the fbi for having sex with a minor in texas.. both from the same city elders jw and computer consultants.... i wonder what happened with his case..

Jojorabbit: I DO remember that phrase being used by some JWs, and it referred to a "figurative" letter of recommendation. In other words, if you had studied with someone to the point that they wanted to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and were baptized, then that person would be viewed as your "letter of recommendation"---a figurative one. I hope that helps. But---clarify something for me. In your opening paragraph you stated that you WERE a "former Jehovah's Witness for many years." Does that mean that you have returned to the Witnesses? Just curious . Best Regards, Everyone.
