The history of JW CONSCIENCE put in perspective (Brothers sent to prison: misled?)
by Terry inconscience and war.
clash of certainties.
in 1616, the catholic church was absolutely certain the words of the holy bible were true concerning the planet earth and its place in the universe; especially in regards to this scripture "...the world is firmly established, it cannot be moved.

where did I first hear these words together?
by enoughisenough infor many years the only place i heard the words " new world order" together or the words "new system" were in the meeting talks or maybe we endeavored to explain them to people we witnessed to.
i just find it interesting that the worldly institutions are using the same word terms.
i just saw an article of some 5 points that came out of this last davos meeting, and all five of these points were using the term "new system" in the changes they want to force mankind into .i am wondering what is the likelihood of the most powerful people on earth borrowing words from a "hated" religion.

Enough: If I remember correctly, I do recall President George H.W. Bush, the first President Bush, used the term "new world order." Best Regards.

Sunday January 15 is my 76th birthday. I answer some of your questions.
by Terry inhappy birthday 2 me!!.
sunday is my 76th birthday and i know that you want to know how it "feels" to have outlived my usefulness, to have lost my natural beauty (being reduced to wrinkles and flab), and constantly walking into a room not knowing why i'm there.
you also are curious as to how i can continue to find a reason to live since none of my kids think my opinions have any possible value, most of my facebooks friends i wouldn't recognize if i tripped over them on my way into starbucks, and my monthly expenditure on bird treats exceeds u.s. spending on the military.

And, Congratulations to you, Terry, on this, the 76th Anniversary of your entry into this world! You're now into your 77th Year. And, for any and all aviation enthusiasts out there who may be reading: Today is the 21st Anniversary of the FIRST flight of the Airbus A318 jet airliner. Not that THAT makes any difference, but, hey, just thought I'd mention it. Best Regards, Everyone.-----Titch.

Lost: I think that there is a way to do that. I don't know what e-mail program you use, but there should be a category at the top that says something like "junk mail." Next time that you receive a message from this individual, click on it, and "tell" you system to just put any future messages from that person into your "junk mail" folder. I think that most e-mail programs will automatically delete all 'junk mail" after a certain number of days. You can try that, and I hope that it works. Best Regards

Is it Logical To Beleive In A Creator - GOD ? In This Scientific Age ?
by smiddy3 ini don`t think so .
hasn`t science ,astronomy ,time , .....proven it an illogical beleif ?.
with the information about this solar system and it`s planets ,other stars and their planets that we have information about ,and the fact that no god has ever revealed him/her self in any shape or form 'there is no evidence that a creator / god has ever existed.. except in the minds of humans who want to control a section of humanity .. the fact that religions rely on "you have to have faith" to beleive in a god ,surely is a cop out.. i look forward to your comments .. and a happy new year to you all..

Well, Smiddy3, we should remember that that word---"GOD"---is just that. A word. And, it is a word---in the English language---that stands for, or represents, a concept, an idea, in the minds of human beings. And, that's what I believe---that "God" is merely a concept, an idea, in the minds of human beings. Nothing more, nothing less. "God" is whatever YOU, or other humans think that he, or she, or it, is. Best Regards, Everyone---Titch.

"Feed The World---Do They Know It's Christmas Time Again?" by the group Band Aid. Recorded in late 1984, as a means to raise money for charities to help feed homeless hungry people. The chorus at the end always gets to me. By searching the Internet, you can find several videos about the recording of that song, back in November of 1984. A lot of them are on YouTube. Search and enjoy. Best Regards to All!

Struggling to find a purpose
by My Name is of No Consequence ini spent most of my life in the org.
we were taught that our purpose in life was to serve jehovah.
that never really made sense to me, but it was still a purpose to keep going.

This post reminds me of something that I printed from this Website, several years ago. It was a picture of a cat, sitting next to a baby, and the cat asks the baby, "So, what do you think the meaning of life is? The baby replies: "Food and sleep." The cat responds: "Yep, that's what I thought." Best Regards, Everyone.----Titch.

List of Things We Were NOT Allowed To Do as JW's

Diogenesister: A Homecoming game, especially a "homecoming" football game, is a game that is played at the "home school." High schools will usually play an "away game", in which they play the game away from their home school. When they return to the "home school"" and play the game there, it is called a "homecoming" game. I hope that helps. I never had a problem with attending a homecoming game when I was in high school. Never. Best Regards---Titch.

Future
by punkofnice ini wonder what this earth will really be like in 500 years from now?.
what are your thoughts?.
-
titch
Simboy, you beat me to it! Yeah, I was thinking, that 500 years from now, it'll be 2522. And, add 3 years to that, and you'll have 2525. Back in 1969, the duo Zager and Evans had a song with just that thought, "In The Year 2525" A thought-provoking song. Just think, people alive then will be able to pick their son, or pick their daughter, too, from the bottom of a long glass tube! Neat! But, sometimes, when I look out my front room window, I contemplate, What was here 500 years in the past, in 1522? Probably not much, here in what is now Southern California. Best Regards, Everyone.....Titch.

Does anybody ever wonder why ?
by smiddy3 insupposedly, god jehovah, el , or whatever else he may have been called many thousands of years ago, or so the storys goes ,dealt with humans on a regular basis communicating with them for either good or bad.according to how they pleased him or displeased him.. so the bible record says.. how is it that god , jehovah or whatever other name you want to call him has not communicated with humans on any level for the past 2000 years ???.
in this scientific ,technological age ,wouldn`t you think this would be the time he would communicate with the potential dangers we face in potentially destroying ourselves and ruining the planets wildlife unless he interveined ?.
that`s if you even beleive that such a god actually exists .. and if he does why so silent in this day and age,?.

Oh, but Smiddy3, he has, he has! Years ago, in the mid-1970s, he appeared to a mild-mannered grocery store clerk, and he appeared as an old man! Oh, wait, that was a movie, "Oh God." (With George Burns and John Denver) Ooops, sorry, I couldn't resist. Best Regards.....Titch.
