Folks: As a point of interest.....In my early years of being an Amateur Radio Operator, I crossed paths, on the air, and in person with a fellow Ham Operator who had the name of "Betty Ray Dunbar." (He had the call sign of W6BWX) That information is "gleaned" from the annual publication called the "Amateur Radio Callbook." That person was definitely a male, and he preferred to be addressed as "Ray." But, yeah, it can happen. I don't know why his parents named him "Betty Ray", but apparently they did. Betty Ray passed away several years ago, so I doubt that he's reading this Internet forum, in order to object to being identified by name and call sign. Just thought I'd mention this tidbit of trivia. Best Regards, Everyone.-----Titch.

Vidiot: So true, so true. You know, I do believe that there are millions of people who believe that the whole, entire purpose of the human race is to perpetuate the human race. In other words, to "keep it going". Oh well. Best Regards----Titch.

Would I be disfellowshiped for this?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inif a publisher openly told the elders that they thought the gb were wrong about some or a lot of things, but said they will not share these thoughts with anyone else then would this be a case of disassociation disgfellowship?.
my guess is lots of elders meetings and shepherding calls to try to get you to say something they could use against you.. but what would be the sin in which you are not repented?.
the only reason to be dissed is non repentance?.

That's interesting what Vidiot stated, that merely thinking that the Governing Body is wrong about something technically constitutes apostasy. So then, how would anyone know that you were thinking that way, unless you expressed that idea to someone else, either verbally or in writing? Thus, the two rules expressed by Hoser. Best Regards, everyone.---Titch

boners by fine JWs
by enoughisenough inas a jw, did you ever know of totally unchristian behavior ( boners) by some "fine" witnesses?
i know of more than my fair share and will reveal some.
an elder/pioneer kicked his elderly wife who had alzheimer's out.

Enough: Perhaps you could have used the term " foolish error or blunder." That IS the dictionary definition of a boner. (In addition to other terms) Just sayin'......Best Regards Everyone.....Titch.

Folks: That is an interesting post from Blondie. Back in 1968, the local congregation that I was a member of, here in Southern California, decided to buy a local church building, which at one time was used by the Calvary Chapel organization. (The famous pastor, Chuck Smith was the pastor of that church) So, from April 1968 to June 1973, that church building was a local Kingdom Hall. But, in June of 1973, the local Elders decided to sell the building, and move back into the other local Kingdom Hall. Why that decision was made, I do not remember, at this time. And, what religious organization they sold it to, in June 1973, I don't recall. But, yeah, during that time---April 1968 to June 1973, no one had any qualms about meeting in a former church building. The building even had its own wooden pews to sit in! Wow! Best Regards, everyone!

Musings About...Spirit Beings
by titch infolks: this topic might seem a little "out there in left field.
" but it might be something to think about, or perhaps it's something that you have wondered about in the past.
i know that i sometimes wondered about it, , even when i was "in" the jw organization.

Folks: This topic might seem a little "out there in left field." But it might be something to think about, or perhaps it's something that you have wondered about in the past. I know that I sometimes wondered about it, , even when I was "in" the JW organization. Now, this is making the assumption that a person believes that there are, in actuality, spirit beings that live...exist...outside the realm of the material, physical world.. And, that would include, of course, the "supreme being" that humans think of as "god", or YHWH, or "Yahweh". And, that there are "spirit beings" that we think of as "angels" and "demons." So, have you ever wondered how it is that "they" perceive each other? I mean, if the assumption is correct that there are "millions", maybe more "angels" in that "spirit" realm, then how do they all perceive each other ? Supposedly, spirit beings don't have physical bodies, with physical senses that we humans have, then how do they do that? And, for that matter, how do they converse or communicate with each other? Ever wonder about that? I wonder about that, and wondered about that when I was a Witness. And, since "spirit beings" are outside the realm of the material physical world---just like "god" is---how do they "perceive" the material, physical Cosmos/Universe?
Perhaps I am over-thinking such matters, or it is "unfathomable" for us mortal, l physical, material beings to ponder. But, still, it is something that I have wondered about. Perhaps it's best to not even think about such things! How about you good Folks? Best Regards, Everyone.....Titch.

Do you know of any church that KNOWS God?
by the-MadJW ini mean, the jws have many faults, as each of us have.. do you know any other group that does?.
-
titch
Just thought I'd clarify something for the mad-JW's information: The Site Administrator of this site is a person who goes by the name, or screen-name of, "Simon." So, now you know, mad-JW. But, anyway, your OP has opened up a lot of interesting discussions, in response to your original question. I hope you will continue to post other items!Best Regards....Titch.

The history of JW CONSCIENCE put in perspective (Brothers sent to prison: misled?)
by Terry inconscience and war.
clash of certainties.
in 1616, the catholic church was absolutely certain the words of the holy bible were true concerning the planet earth and its place in the universe; especially in regards to this scripture "...the world is firmly established, it cannot be moved.

where did I first hear these words together?
by enoughisenough infor many years the only place i heard the words " new world order" together or the words "new system" were in the meeting talks or maybe we endeavored to explain them to people we witnessed to.
i just find it interesting that the worldly institutions are using the same word terms.
i just saw an article of some 5 points that came out of this last davos meeting, and all five of these points were using the term "new system" in the changes they want to force mankind into .i am wondering what is the likelihood of the most powerful people on earth borrowing words from a "hated" religion.

Enough: If I remember correctly, I do recall President George H.W. Bush, the first President Bush, used the term "new world order." Best Regards.

Sunday January 15 is my 76th birthday. I answer some of your questions.
by Terry inhappy birthday 2 me!!.
sunday is my 76th birthday and i know that you want to know how it "feels" to have outlived my usefulness, to have lost my natural beauty (being reduced to wrinkles and flab), and constantly walking into a room not knowing why i'm there.
you also are curious as to how i can continue to find a reason to live since none of my kids think my opinions have any possible value, most of my facebooks friends i wouldn't recognize if i tripped over them on my way into starbucks, and my monthly expenditure on bird treats exceeds u.s. spending on the military.

And, Congratulations to you, Terry, on this, the 76th Anniversary of your entry into this world! You're now into your 77th Year. And, for any and all aviation enthusiasts out there who may be reading: Today is the 21st Anniversary of the FIRST flight of the Airbus A318 jet airliner. Not that THAT makes any difference, but, hey, just thought I'd mention it. Best Regards, Everyone.-----Titch.
