For me, it is Choice Number 4. Since 1988, when I came to the full, complete realization that I, as a human being, have NO spiritual hunger, no spiritual cravings, that need to be satiated or satisfied by ANY religious belief structure.

Well, how about this idea: As Hoser stated, abolish the income tax, and I say, institute a national Sales Tax. A Sales Tax on both goods and services. When you stop to think about it, everyone has to buy or purchase things, whether they be goods, products, or some kind of services. And, the Sales Taxes should be on both the Federal & State level.
And, I have no objection to placing a maximum wage on earnings. Let's say, how about 5 millions dollars, and that's it. That should be the maximum amount that a person would be allowed to be paid.

I would welcome any 4th stimulus check. As a person who is 67 years old, and a person who HAS been in the work force---the work world---since 18 years of age, and who is/was burned out from the work world years ago---I will gladly welcome ANY stimulus money from any government level. Whether it be from the Federal Government, the State Government, the City Government, whatever. Let it come! I welcome it. Best Regards...

What Will Happen If You Do NOT Get The Covid Vaccinations?

Well, coming from a person who has HAD both dosages---and am feeling just fine---I will say that I CHOSE to get the vaccinations, because of the POSSIBILITY of contracting the disease if I didn't get the vaccinations. You see, Folks, I am an Oldie, and Old-Ager, an Old-Timer, a Senior Citizen. And, about 7 years ago I went through the experience of having CHF, or congestive heart failure, for which I was in a local hospital of about 10 days. So, knowing that COVID-19 CAN have detrimental effects on persons of may age with a prior cardiovascular condition, I chose to get the vaccination. Now, sure, I know that there is NO guarantee that the vaccination will prevent me from contracting the malady. But, still, I wanted to stay on the "safe side." It's the same reason that I choose to get a flu vaccination each year, due to my age, and what the flu can do to persons of my age. This explains things from my perspective. Best Regards...

by pistolpete insomething i've noticed is that marriage was the thing for those born before 2010. but today's culture of divorce laws slanted to favor women has forced men to think carefully before signing the marriage certificate.
most of my friends have no intentions of getting married.
all of them have gotten vasectomies, so there is no chance of being blamed for a pregnancy.

Well, this post and discussion emphasize the importance of drawing up a "prenuptial agreement" before entering into marriage, and both parties signing the prenuptial agreement before the marriage. Well, Mr. Minimus, I do believe that the "ailment" called "flu" is still around and kickin'. As recently as just this past Fall, my pharmacist asked me if I wanted to get the flu vaccination shot---which I did---even though the COVID-19 pandemic is still happening. Just thought I'd mention it. So, pharmacists are still talking about if. Best Regards....

Does the Earth (as a planet) deserve to be colonised by humans?

we have, in much less than a century, managed to fill the earth with so much plastic waste that tiny fragments of plastic have been found on the highest mountains and the deepest ocean depths.
not satisfied with doing that, we stupidly continue to do it.

How Do You Feel About Completely Open Borders?

Well, I do think that all countries will have to have borders, and borders that are NOT completely open. I mean, by having borders, it's a country's way of saying, Hey, this is OUR territory, our turf, our "real estate" and the only way that you can come in is by doing it in a legal way.
Now, this post reminds me of something that I heard the Greek keyboardist musician, Yanni, say to his audience at the "Live At The Acropolis" concert, that he performed in 1993. (BTW, that CD was the very first album of his that I bought, and I appreciate and enjoy his music very much!) Anyway, about half way through his concert, he stated that he has become friends with several Space Shuttle astronauts, who said that as they were orbiting Earth, looking down, it's very hard to "make out" the different countries that are below them. And, that's because the "boundary lines" do not exist, they are not visible, from space. The boundary lines are put there by humans and printed on maps, but are "imaginary". And, Yanni went on to say that he foresaw a time in the future, when there would no longer be any national boundaries, because, we, as the human race, are "all one." That's a nice, "idealistic" sentiment, Yanni, but I don't think that it will happen for a loooooong, time. But, isn't that the mindset of JWs, that some time in the future, the Earth will be just one, big, global Paradise planet, and there won't be any national boundaries any more? Yeah, something like that.....Best Regards, All
