Blood transfusions for pets
by Heartofaboy inhas anyone had the experience of their pet being saved by a blood transfusion?.
a lovely down to earth couple in my old congregation allowed a transfusion for their dog when it developed life threatening complications after surgery.
lo & behold the transfusion did actually save the dog's life.

WOW Blondie that was nice research! How ironic, my parents and I just got into a discussion a week ago. they were debating wether or not put the family cat to sleep. One thing that came up was my mother would not allow the cat (who had a tumor) to have blood if they opted for surgery. i didn't get into it at the time but I did wonder if there was anything in print on it. Wow. Now let me ask this about pet food...
Would it be proper for a christian to have a pet snake? after all, the mice are feed whole and thus have blood in them..? proper or not? are you supposed to feed the snake some sort of pelet food? What about birds of prey? if a brother or sister wanted to be a falconor, what would they feed their bird?

When will the crashing and burning of this organization begin?
by easyreader1970 inas i see it, there are three looming threats that all have the potential - individually or combined - to bring the wbts to its knees, at least in the united states, anyway.. 1. youth retention.
the young people aren't buying it.
the watchtower will argue that faithless young people are giving in to demonic persuasion and leaving the truth.

I agree with what has been stated. This thing WILL NOT crash and burn. EVER. the only way a cult dies is to kill itself, ala jones town. thankfully the JW's arent quite that bad, unless you need a transfusion. They will go along and grow, however slowly, because many people need the "certainty" that the org provids. PT barnum said it best

Demons and the WTS
by brotherdan ini remember growing up and hearing all sorts of stories about demonic activity from people.
some would be experiences that people had going door to door and visiting a "witch" or "warlock".
some would inadvertently go to a fortune tellers door and have a demonic experience.. i was always facinated by all the stories.

I'll tell my little story.. My father has worked at night, by himself for many years. So he is used to "things that go bump in the night", and not in least afraid. Well he bought a nice little bose home theater system and for a few weeks loved it. It suddenly took to turning itself on at odd times and turning itself up or down.. well he was a little freaked out, which as I say is not easy, but remained calm... after all if that is the worst the demons could do then no big deal. My little brother on the other had ( a grown man himself) was out of his mind. He wouldn't walk into the living room for fear of the thing. My dad thought about it for a few days and noticed the following week that someone had bought the same model bose system ( next door neighbor).. sure enough a little experiment proved that if the neighbor was pointing his remote in the right direction it affected my fathers unit. the neighbor changed his frequency on the remote. No more demon experiances. Judge for yourself.
