I just been a very quick over view of the new book.....brrrrrrrrr...it makes me creep. I really liked the part regarding how they should treat the disfellowshiped ones. It is so loving and tender by the WT Crap Society. Specially the way they are twisting the scriptures at 1 Corinthians 5:11-13 "quit mixing in company with such ones"...When you don't have God's Spirit, and you don't have a CLUE of Greek language, it is so easy to twist the Bible according to your measures.
Since the GB are uneducated old fools, the Original Greek text on that verse has a different meaning. The Greek word is "sinanamignyo" becoming one, or united with one substance. Always in the Greek Scriptures the word sinamignyo was reffering to the Holy Communion of the Early Church(in the beggining it was daily). So if one person was fornicator or commited serious sin, he wasn't allowed to have Holy Communion with the rest of the Congregation, and this was Paul's advice. Since the Congregation was unified(mixed)with Jesus Blood and Flesh, it would have been serious sin if someone was sharing Jesus Blood and Flesh with the rest of the Brotherhood.
Never in the Christian Apostolic Church disfellowshiped persons were treated like the WT does their ex-members. The difference between the Pharisaic attitude of the WT and the Christian Church is that the Church is a place of spiritual healing, and not a place of punishment.If WT wanted to be more precise regarding the Scriptures they quote for disfellowship they shouldn't go preaching to other Christians because they "don't carry" the teaching.

I took off the crown(as a Persian King), and wear a N.Y had, round sun glasses, holding a bottle of coke and I looked like 60's hippy!!!
Kind of miss those dramas. It was the only fun thing to do in the WT world. Plus I was a very good acteur and at the end of the D.A all the single sisters used to congratulate me about my performance
I recall very well the drama of Korah it was 1982. It was all about apostasy and how we should always be obedient to God's chosen ones!!! I was in the apostate crowd that died along with Korah when Moses prayed to YHWH to open the earth and swallow the evil apostates

We have this facts regarding WT. No one can tell what is really happening behind the close doors
1.Russell involved in Occultism, Pyramid worship, the grave of the BS founder is in a Masonic graveyard with Masonic symbols
2.The symbols used by the Early WT are Masonic. RA, All seeing eye, Knight Temblars. The same symbols I have seen them in the Masonic lodges in my country.
3. The enormous occult subliminal images in the WT publications is something that we should consider seriously? Why are there since 1982, and WT says that their publications are inspected before going out for print by the FDS???
4. Rutherford was also connected with Occult, and so Freddie Franz who was the spiritual mentor of the WT for 6 decades. Not to mention Woodworth, or the Book Angels and Women that both 2 first Presidents accept it and publish it

the special training for elders in upper state new york and that the elders are being told .
to go back to their congregations and to get them ready for the great tribulation.. i said to her that is great news !!!!

WT is using fear to control their members...this is the fact. I do not believe that they will have any pre-1975 growth as someone stated in this topic. WT they are losing ground beneath their feet and they know it...this is a fact that WT one day will end...
Internet is one of the major factors, plus there are so many books regarding cults and mind conrol heretic Cults and groups. The growth in Europe and Western countries is zero to minus. It doesn't take much for a new bible study to research regading WT. I know this through my personal expierience. When a person starts a BS is visiting web sides that all are critical to the WT. They can find about their false prophecies and scandals, and they are stoping to have association with the JW's.
The only tactic WT has is fear upon their members. But the question is for how long they can use that fear in order to keep JW's from a massive exodus. I recall when I was young at the 80's and all that fear they use upon us. One day it finished, and as a result WT has no power on me. Those young ones today have no idea what happened in 1975, or the generation. Sooner or later they will grow and gete tired and will start to examine WT and they will follow the path of the exit, like many of us. The only think is that WT leadeship will buy some more time before they will end as an Organization
WT is like the Titanic, is sinking, and the GB knows it. All they can to it is to try to save their money from the coming destruction

Big News or rumor!
by Burger Time ina friend just informed me that the c/o in his hall will be instructing the elders that anyone with a child in college will be stripped of privileges in the hall.
i am not sure if this is true this is just what i was told.
it could be that it is only a campaign directed at him as he has some ties to ex-jw's and some how got found out.

In my country there was a similar event. An innactive JW who doesn't believe in the WT for many years told me the information.(Since I'm disfellowshiped and marked apostate I don't have access to the WT world, and frankly I don't care to know) Since we keep intouch he told me that an elder in the congregation, and in fact he was one of the good ones, lost all the priveleges because he son goes to univercity...I wasn't sure about that, but it seems that we are all crossing the same information and it seems to be correct...

even with such a strong belief, i am often told by skeptics that such things are foolish and nonsense.

Rapunzel, the only thing I can tell you is I nevered talked to anyone, not even my parents..besides I was just a kid and I wasn't supposed to ask questions in the WT world..just obey. I kept this until now that the discussion of paranormal event came out. So I'm sharing this expierience in this forum because it is a place of free speech and no one will misunderstand you...
But all those years I just couldn't take it out of my mind. It was so weird. I didn't hear any voices. I just saw between the 2 doors that it was elders meeting. The rest is as I have described it. Perhaps it was a secret meeting, but again there was something strange...
Loubelle I know how you feel about that presence you said. In my case it was much powerful at the time when I went through a judical comittee. I was turn to the elders by my ex-wife for apostasy...when we separated and I was living along I was always wearing a cross from my baptism and I could have easy sleep.
