Dog to its Vomit

i know as a jw growing up, i would hear so much about how if you were of the"world" and came out of it...that you were like a dog returning to its vomit.

the other day, i heard of a friend of mine that went back to the borg.

actually over the past few months, i have heard of a few.

Leaving the WT is on of the hardest thing that a person can do, espcially one raised in it. I am sure that like me, many of us took years to rid ourselvs of the emotional and mental shackles that bound us to that religion. I hate this religion so much for that, and how it manipulates people.

I KNOW THIS SITUATION FROM FIRST HAND...I was innactive for 6 years...and I nevered talk to any one. My "faithfull"ex-wife turned me to the elders for apostasy because I told her I no longer believe that the WT is "God's Chanel". I had to go through a judical comitee. It lasted few weeks!!! At the end I wrote a 5 page letter asking answers to my questions...I never got answers, instead I was disfellowshiped

My family broke, I wasn't allowed to attend to my daughter's wedding, that was only few months way(my wife was so eager to "nail"me to the society so she wouldn't wait at least for the wedding).

Now I'm still trying to get over with the emotional and mental bonds of the WT. I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK THERE...Dispite the preasure I have from my relatives. Ever since I left 2 year ago, they are having more frequent parties, than before, and they say that it will be nice to be have you, but you know "God's"law!!!

Leaving WT is a lonely path....BUT IS THE ONLY PATH...

Even going back there sooner or later yoiur friend will leave. You just can't hear the crap GB is selling them

As a "foreign"brother" I have seen from FIRST hand how we were treated by the OLD FOOLS in Brooklyn. For 20 years we were going in and out in prison due to "neutrality" issue. Many of us couldn't go on with normal life.

The Goverment was offering us an alternative solution for our Army Service, but for 20 YEARS the GB MURDERS, refused us that choice. Then the Holy Spirit "changed" its mind and alternative service was ok!!!

Our Goverment has a special tax, called Defense Fund, and it is a 3% and everyone pays this, including religious and non profit Organizations. So the WT Branch does pay the 3% tax. When we asked if it is correct to pay the Defense Tax, WT said to us that is ok because the Ceasar can do what ever he wants with the tax money!!!

I was lucky because I was born in a European Country. If I was in Africa or somewere else(third world country) for sure I was going to be executed for treason!!! This is exactly of what has happened to the brothers and sisters in Malawi. They suffered needesly for not buying a 2 cent fucking card of the Party, since the Party was the Goverment also...while the brothers in Mexico bribe the officials to give them a paper that shows they have done their Military service and they are on reserves.

The Governing Body of the WT is GUILTY for all those lifes died needesly..they are MURDERS and should be brought into to justice for Crimes against Humanity

That is an excellent video...very well designed to show WT's double standards.

Another FACT that WT never points about child baptism it what was happening in the Ancient Israelites, that they were under the Mosaic law. Israelite parents had to take their male children for circumcision at the 8th day of their birth. Also they had to take their children to the synagoges, teach them God's law, participate to all the celebrations that they had, under the law, and generally being active members of their community until they grow.

SO WHY DOES THE WT DOES NOT ACCUSES ISRAELITES FOR HAVING THEIR CHILDREN TIED FROM BIRTH TO THEIR RELIGION?

IF IT WAS OK FOR THE ISRAELITES TO TEACH THEIR CHILDREN THEIR INHERITED FAITH, AND EVEN MAKING THEM MEMBERS OF THE CONGREGATION FROM THE DAY THEY WERE BORN, WHY IS WRONG FOR ANY OTHER CHRISTIAN PARENT TO DO THE SAME THING THAT ISRAELITES WERE DOING?

IN THE BOOK OF ACTS IT DESCRIBES THE BAPTISM OF CORNILIUS AND HIS ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD. THAT MEANS THEY WERE CHILDREN INCLUDED ALSO, SO WHY DOES WT SKIP THE PARTS THAT SHOW CHILD BAPTISM?

Jesus baptism, was completely different from any other that took place. Christians are getting baptised in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and WT's baptism oath is like joining a club. Indeed in the beggining those becoming Christians were old enough to understand the teachings of Jesus. When Christians started to have their congregations, and multiply all over the Greco-Roman world, their childern from their early days they were also part of the Ekklisia. Parents as usual passes the faith to their children and it is normal thing to do. If they grow and they chose another faith, that is another issue.

With WT's logic, JW's should not teach their Jehovism faith to their children until they grown old enough(like Jesus age)since Apostles and the early Christians were mature people who converted to Christianity.

I agree with this post. Indeed after 1995 WT has changed a lot. The WT I knew(I became totally innactive in 2000) has a complete different face and look from the one that exists now.

1.The seperation of the sheep and goats after 1995 nevered occured and it will be a future event. So from 1925 all that we preached regarding this was in vain

2.Generation that supposed to see the end(somehow before 2000)ended. First it was understood that the generation was the ones seeing the events in 1914, and in 2007 are the annointed ones. This change has reduced the sence of emergency in the rank and file, although the leadership is still claiming that the end is near, and it is against education, while they buy and sell properties and planning for the far future

3.The heavenly door that was closed in 1935(it was closed back in 1878 and open after 1914 untill 1935)has opened again, since the "remnant"is still increasing

4.I was pioneer 90 hours(1992-1996), plus there was book study in homes

Indeed WT changed a lot. The reason is simple. The leadership of this cult has FAILED...so they are shiffting to save their multimillion dollar bussiness. WT is run by lawyers, plus their message it is out of date.

What the future holds for them, they will be a mainstream religion since this is the only way to survive

When I went through the Judical Comitee for apostasy I asked them: If Russell and Jo are consider apostates since their "light" it is completely different from the one we preach now?

The answer was we are progressive Organization, and we MUST wait on Jehovah to REVEAL that light trought the Org....

So JW'S don't care what they believe since they have become a CLUB that the ONLY thing to do is to accept WT as God's mouthpiece

Any how the climate changes issue is rather complicated. I strongly believe that we humans, with the way we treat our plannet have spead up the process of the global warming. Indeed the earth poles have reversed many times leading to a complete climate change. While the last age was 10,500 years ago, and it seems that we will entered into a mini ice age, due to global warming. We have extreme weather conditions on Earth, just see what is happening with the hurricanes lately, floods, and in other places have witnessed little rain fall.

1.But we have many ancient observations regarding Earth from ancient civilazations like Summerians with the Gilgamesh epic, that is older from the Biblical Noah and looks very similar.

2.Also the Greek Hymns of Dionisos show astronomical obeservations dating back 10,500 years ago, with the Earth having only 2 seasons

3.The Turkish Pirate Pirei Reis was captured and on his possetions ancient maps were found. Those maps he said that they were copies of match older maps. He stolen them from a Greek ship, few years after the fall of the Capitol of the New Roman Empire Constantinouple. What was so strange about them? The Hellenic maps have the Globe the way it is today, it was like a satelite picture of the earth's surface, and they could be done only with the help of satelite, but with only one difference. On the poles there was NO ICE. The landscape of the maps matches exactly with the landscape beneath the poles.

4. The Sphinx was build in a time were water was running in Egypt's desert and that was again 10,500 years, plus we have the history of Atlantis as it was discribed by the Egyptian Priests to Plato, were we had floods at that time.

I believe that indeed the Earth is changing as it did in the past,and it will do in the future. Imagine we had dynosauros on earth, reptiles that vanished, mammals that also vanished, even our anscestors Humanoids have vanished like Neardental, and Australopithicus. We Homo Sapiens managed to survive from all those and we are dominating the Earth. The point is we don't know what our future will be since many other spieces are decorating the Paleontological Museums in the World

yes, so my children talking to mom i hear "no we dont go to meetings anymore" and i'm thinking "crap!!".

so then the phone gets passed to me.. and my husband is of course out of town for this.

i get asked point blank if we're witnesses anymore.. and i said "no we're not".

It is shame how JW's are treating their family members. When they left their religion to become JW's most of their family members speaks to them, and they don't really mess with them. They invite them in family reunions, family parties, weddings, anniversaries and other occasions.

When we decided that we cannot accept WT as "God's Representative on earth", our life has been destroyed by WT's policy of shunning. I was there for 6 years as innactive, because I didn't wanted to brake my family, or hurt my elderly parents.I talked to no one about my doubts only once I told my ex-wife that I no longer believe that the WT is the true religion. As a result I was turned in by my wife to the elders for apostasy. I got way before 6 years but 2 years ago, I was turned again to the elders,like I was the most filthy person in this plannet. I just couldn't stand them anymore, and I wrote a 3page letter for questions I had regarding WT and I wanted answers. The only answer I got was my disfellowship.

It shame because JW's have double standarts. When they are leaving their religion to become JW's they are expecting from everyone to respect their decision. Plus they are becoming religious foundamentalists, trying to convert their relatives and friends to their new WT faith. If they do not join them they consider them not worthy, and Armageddon is the only solution for the "unbelievers".

All we are saying to the WT Crap Society is to follow the "golden rule"set by Jesus.

When a JW leaves WT and joins other religion, or starts to practice "babylon habits" they treat the person like trush. We all know the gossip that exists in the WT world for those who are leaving WT

When a JW leaves he might loose the job if the boss is JW, most of the times we will have a broken home(like me)because the "faithfull"member will feel that its faith is under threat,by the non believer

WT thinks that owns our childern when we just want them to show them the other side of the coin, and even uses lies in court in order for the "faithfull"not to loose the custody of the kids(future slaves in the WT Company)We are not allowed to talk to anyone, even to our family members, and we are banned for lifetime,cut from our family and friends for ever. The WT calls our pain and suffering "act of Christian Love" and "Biblical principles"

When we are trying to scream from the pain WT causes us, by talking to the media, WT claims that they are persecuted by the "evil apostates"v

At least you have your husband with you and you are lucky. Many others are completely alone in this cult fight, and many of us have lost everything
