  Scientology: Better Or Worse Than JW's?

  they are pretty effed up, but at least they don't try to hide behind the bible.. anyone?.

  Neutrality Issue - How did the WT Society used to hide behind us...

  the neutrality issue was one of the major issues that young brothers in many places in the world are facing.

  some they died for that issue, some the spend many years in prisons, and as a result they are record is marked for being in prison.. in my country many brothers went to prison from 2-4 years, but the most outrageous thing that the wt did, it was to hide behind an 18 year old kids.

  yeah the cowards running wt they didn't have the balls to stand next to us, and i will explain why:.

  Great comments Terry. It is obvious that WT is still guided by the "spirit"of Booze Jo. He was a master regarding using the Goverments to persecute JW's and scream out that "God's people" are persecuted by Satan.

  As I have said the Army issue is very sensitive in my country, since we are suffering from occupation of the 37% of the Island by Turkey. It was one of the most hard subject to face in the field ministry. Indeed if it wasn't those brave ones to stand against the Turkish brudal invaders then for sure we would have talking for a genocide in 1974 by Turkey. Those people stood against a powerful army, with the latest US weapons. Most of the brave fighters they had weapons of the II world war and I world war. 5000 died,1700 still missing, so the rest of us will enjoy freedom. They fight having in mind as Greeks we never cared about the enemy or how strong is, they fight for the Land, for the Families, for our faith

  I have seen the terror of the war as small child and after all those years I cannot forget. I cannot forget the napalm bombs falling over our towns, the missles from the warships, the tanks. During the invation the attrocities of the Turkish troops against the Greek population cannot be described. Rape, torture, massive executions, event they kill infants with their mothers. I only pray to God not to live the horror I did.

  Everyone knows how brudal are Turks(Armenian Genocide of 1,500,000, Greek Genocide 1,000,000, Asyrian genocide1,000,000). In the occupied land they proceed with ethnic cleansing, and for 34 years they are destroying are culture inheritence. Monuments of Christianity that stood for 1800 years they were vanished, and acturally they are trying to destroy every proove that the Island was Greek.

  So the question we were facing was simple: What will you do if the Turks try to occupied the rest of the Island. Will you defend your children, your wifes against the kind of enemy? Will you stand and watch your daughters being raped without to defend them?

  I was really ASHAMED when they were asking me those questions. Since I knew what kind of enemy we are dealing.

  There is nothing wrong to defend you country, your children, your home. It is an obligation , since we are defending our country. We are not invaders, we fight to stay alive. When a Christian has to face a situation like that, then defend is acceptable. Besides we have accounts in the Roman Empire that Christians kept their possition in the Roman Army, that they were under the rule of Idolator Emperor.

  We have the example of Cornilius who was a Roman officer, also there is an old inscription around 70 A.D a soldier named ALEXAMENOS THAT AFRAIDS OF GOD, and they carved a donkey(for Jesus) in Cross!!! It seems that the other soldiers they were laughing an the Christian soldier.Not to mention Daniel, Nemiah, Joseph, that they hold a prominent possitions in a Gentile regime. So if God's servants, even in the ancient Israel they were Goverment Officials and there was nothing wrong about it, then why all that trouble for joining the Army Forces?

  The WT was always trying to show a complete different aspect of the Christian issue of military service, in order to support their stupid theology. They know they are wrong, but in order to show that "true" Christians are not like the rest, they have fallen into another serious mistake.

  It is a complete different to defend your Country from being offensive. I love my Country and I will defend it if neccesary with my life from any invader. My history of 4000 years shows me the way, heroes like Leonidas with 1000 soldiers stood against the Persian Army in Thermopiles. When the Persian King told them that the arrows of the Persian Army will be so many that they will cover the Sun.Leonidas replied "Good, then we will fight under a shadow"...then the Persian King ask them to surrender their weapons and he would let them go free. The answer was clear: "Come and get them" - Molon Lave..

  The WT cannot answer what would have happened if everyone surrendered to Hitler in WWII. What kind of world we would have today if we were under the III Reich?

  Again I will ask the WT. What will they do if a banch of armed people try to occupied their Headquarders? Will they surrender? Or they will defend themselves? Will they stand and watch their wifes being raped? Will they stand and watch as those invaders kill unarmed people and do nothing?

  It is easy to critisize the rest of the world when you are talking from extreme save possition

  When it was time for joining the Army, and since Army service is done by all males, the WT was telling us the exact words to say to the officials:

  "That I 'm a Jehovahs Witness, and my conscious does not allow me to join any military forces and this is my PERSONAL decision"

  I recall in meeting we had for this matter the CO told us clearly:"Never say that the WT tells you not to join the Army. No matter what, YOU SHOULD NEVER mention WT to the officials, or that you will get disfellowshiped if you join Army Forces, or the WT is telling you NOT to join the Army. You will say it is your PERSONAL DECISION and keep the Organization out from any discussion"

  So the question that arrises here is:"If it is a matter of conscious why we would get disfellowshiped if we did join the Army? And since when in a matter of conscious a Christian would face judical commitee and gets disfellowshiped?

  But as usual WT has a different agenda for the outside world and other for the rank and file. Then the Goverment came with a new proposal:

  Since you don't join the Army then you can join other services like Hospital, Fire Department, Forest Department, Resque, and you will do your service, your obligation to your country there. Some of us were happy of this new arrangement, since the WT did accepted that arrangement in other European Countries. But the FDS had a different oppinion in our case. The answer was NO....and they said that we go to the other services IF the court send us there as a penalty. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ALTERNATIVE SERVICE...

  So 15 years went by, and the FDS finally accepted the Alternative Service. So again the "Holy Spirit" was late to act, and change its mind. No need to say that many of us suffered from this, since we couldn't go on with our lifes and jobs, since it was a pending issue. But again the WT was using us in the most horrible way. Plus we had to pay the lawyer that the Org has chosen for us, everytime we appeared in Court. And the guy really charged a lot!!!

  But there was another issue regarding Neutrality. The Goverment has a special tax for diffence. It is only a small rate but still it is a tax for buying Arms. When we asked the Society if we should pay that tax, the answer was yes. We must give to the Ceasar what belongs to the Ceasar. But we ask again, is it correct to pay that tax since is going for military purposes. The answer was that Ceasar desides what to do with the money, therefore there is nothing wrong to pay that tax.

  What was the real reason behind this? Since the Branch of the WT had to pay taxes(for buying and selling land)it would have created them problem with the Goverment, plus it would have a nagative effect to all of the JW's since in my country Diffence is a very sensitive issue.So it would have cost them a lot, so they chose to pay the tax.

  But what would have happened if we were not in Europe by in an African country? Good question, and I really don't feel to think about it. In my mind it comes the tragic events that took place for our Brothers in Malawi....

  The GB are a banch of cowards, and all they care is how to use poor people in order to have control over human life. They have no conscious at all, and they have sacrifice hunderds of thousands of people in the Altar of their Organization. Many times I wonder the panishment that Jesus holds for them. But I guess the only panishment we can give to the WT it is to show to future victims, and even those are inside how EVIL organization the WT is

  There are so many things I would like to tell them, I could write a book!!! Basically I would tell them:

  Who gave you the right to destroy peoples lifes with your shunning policy?

  Who gave you the right to play the "Gods" on peoples life,either it was the Organ transplans, or blood issue, or the so called neutrality issue?

  Why you have stolen my life, my best years of my life telling me that my best future it is to sell your books and preaching about a generation that by no means will pass away?

  Why did you forbit me to have education, to use my talents, and all you care is about your organization?

  Since you know that 607 B.C date is wrong from the 70's why did you consciously support a LIE in order to secure your possition?

  Do you know how hard is in this world to support your self with low paid jobs(window cleaners)why you forbit education in order to have a better life?

  Why you forbit me through your elders to talk to my family, childern, friends?

  Why you have nevered apologize for your mistakes, and always you blaim the brotherhood for eager expectations?

  Since your history shows a constent change of your theological dogma, why we should trust you?

  From the very beggining you have a history of false prophecies, doesn't make you FALSE PROPHETS?

  Jesus said at Luke 21:9 that "watch out that you are not deceived,for many will come in my name,claiming I'm he, and the END IS NEAR, DO NOT FOLLOW THEM...how do you apply that scripture to yourselves?Should we follow you?

  ....waking up to the real truth about the truth?......when it first really hit me like a shovel in the face.....i actually said to the co i would have to leave my wife and son (not hers)) and he is now 20 (not the co..my son), and i said it because i knew i would now never measure up to the "spiritual head" model.

  cause i knew it was all bs...but have not really ran away yet....at least not for more than a week at a time.........doing better actually.......but did you want to at least move or something?

  I feel I wanna run, I want to turn down the walls that hold me inside...After being disfellowshiped I had to leave house. It was a hell, with shoutings all the time. It wasn't healthy enviroment for the kids. The only reason I'm staying in the same town is my kids. I have to be next to them and give show them the other side of the coin. I will not accept, at least without a fight, to be brainwashed by their "faithfull" mother.

  That is my only concern, otherwise I would have left the country to start a new life

  when william miller (baptist farmer turned theologian) predicted the 2nd coming of christ in 1843/44 a large segment of america's population believed along with him.. miller was invited to preach in church after church.

  he gave his points in sermons demonstrating the nearness of armageddon.

  perhaps a hundred thousand devout christians waited for the end.

  Great post Terry, indeed WT is Universal Cult, a terminology that we use for WT in the Orthodox Church

  They have gathered ALL the wrong teachings of the extreme Protestand Groups and formed a "Christian religion" . There never was FDS in the Early Apostolic Church. In fact the Bible verse they are using in Acts 15 proves the exact opposite. We have the first Synodos of the Early Church described in the book of Acts. We read that in the meeting we had the Apostles, Episkopous, from Jerusalim and they have come to discuss a situation that occured regarding circumcision. It was an open door meeting, and many came along to express their opinion freely. It had nothing to do with the behind close doors secret meetings held by the GB.

  After the decision Paul goes and circumcised Timothy, a decision that was supposely against the "GB" but no one disfellowshiped Paul for doing that.If it was the WT's GB Paul would have been out from the "Org" labeled as Apostate!!!!

  We also see that in the Church of Antioch they adopted the name Christians, and the rest of the congregations happily accept it.Again there was no GB here to give the new name, like Rutherford did in the 30's.

  WT's GB idea was established in the 70's. Russell was the FDS until he died in 1916. Booze Jo took power and until 1942 he was the new FDS, he acted more than a Pope and even a small objection of his writtings you will labeled as the "evil slave class".

  I do not consider WT as the followers of Russell, in fact they are break way group of the Bible Students, that is why Judge Jo had to find a new name to seperate from Russells followers.

  Like many Protestand extreme groups WT is desperately seeking to have a divine orientation, something they don't have and never will

  WT are so blinded by the letter of the law the have inserted that they ignore the basic law "Love". For them the meeting must never stop, what ever happens. Their Pharisaic rules and worship is beyond any human pain, and all the things that makes us justhumans

  it was many years ago, it was around 1990, and we had a visit of the c.o.

  and a young one asks the co if he can attend to wedding ceremony of a relative that is no witness.. the co said with a kind of superior look to us:" what does a christian doing in a christendom's church(and in our case was the orthodox) were demons are dancing and rejoice during the ceremony.

  it is not a place for a christian.
