Low Day For Me Today
by pale.emperor inhi guys.
it's been about 4 or 5 weeks since i was disfellowshipped.
so far it's been easy, i enjoyed being left alone, no one bothering me, no one telling me i need to do more, need to reach out, questioning why i didnt go on the ministry, and the fact that my ex-wifes family cant talk to me even if they wanted to.

Are they either leaving or going full on 'cult mode'? No quarter.
by punkofnice init might just be me imagining things.. i hear things from my jw spies.. from all that's being said, it seems to me that the rank and file(tm), are either waking up to the scam and fading/leaving.
they are going full on 'cult mode' and acting like 'spiritual police'.. is it just me and my imagination?
have others noticed this?.

Phats if you know your bible then it is easy to pick apart any of the JW teachings. The bible is not so complicated it cannot be read by the common man. I suggest you get a decent bible translation (I like the NIV) and start reading on your own. I like the Beroean Pickets site for reasoning on the scriptures on many topics - meletivivlon.com
Good luck!

Single Sisters Over A Certain Age Group Getting A Bad Rap
by HiddlesWife ini'm new here; one of my relatives was a member on this forum a few years ago and told me about it.
anyways, as a sister who has been in the org since childhood and now in her late 40's (plus as a woman of color), i have noticed that a number of brothers have an ageist attitude.
they are very accepting of young women under 26 and rejecting women over that age, particularly those in their 30's and over.. is this an unspoken mindset from wthq (specifically from bethel), or is it that quite a number of males (sorry, i'm not sexist here) have this type of mentality?

There are about twice as many sisters as brothers in the org. Because of this brothers are able to marry way out of their league in the org.

Morning Woship: Kenneth Flodin targets "apostates"
by Sanchy invideo is entitled "beware of deceit" he uses the letter of jude to show that current day apostates are deceitful and that they use "trickery" to and "twist facts" to try to "grab our mind".
warning: your head might explode.

Song 146 - You did it for me
by Listener inthe watchtower 1970 4/1 emphasis the principle that singing at the kingdom hall is part of worship to god and is one of the most beautiful ways they can show this worship to him.. of all the ways in which we can worship and praise jehovah god—by prayer, by public talks, by our field ministry and by our exemplary conduct—one of the most beautiful of them is this literal singing of songs to jehovah’s praise....and, above all, let us pay more than usual attention to the words.
it is by the words that we worship jehovah god, bringing praise to him.
as an introduction to song 146, jw org states -jesus considers any act of love and support for his anointed brothers as though it were done for him.

This was new light in March 2015 Study WT - "Loyally supporting Christ's Brothers"
I posted my thoughts at https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/5085516542246912/sheep-goats-light-gets-brighter
It really is disturbing the direction the organization is headed. The other song is 108, singing praises to the anointed and calling for the "other sheep" to support them.

Nu-light on Heb 4:12 - "Word of God" == God's purpose as expressed in the scriptures
by nmthinker inwatchtower has historically interpreted heb 4:12 as emphasizing the power of the holy scriptures to bring about changes in an individuals heart and actions.
most christian faiths take the "word of god" to mean jesus and his teachings.. now in the sept 2016 study wt we have new light!
its so clear now!

Watchtower has historically interpreted Heb 4:12 as emphasizing the power of the holy scriptures to bring about changes in an individuals heart and actions. Most Christian faiths take the "Word of God" to mean Jesus and his teachings.
Now in the Sept 2016 study WT we have new light! Its so clear now! According to WT the Word of God now means "God's expressed purpose" as contained in Bible - of course as interpreted by the Faithful and Discreet Slave!
When I read this it struck me as a rather significant change. It shows the WT doubling down on their claims to exclusive knowledge of God's purpose and a further denigration of Jesus and the Bible itself. According the this new understanding, supporting the Watchtower means the word of God is exerting power in your life. Rather than letting the word of God mold you as a person they are now saying that obeying the directives of the GB is what makes you a better person and brings about God's approval.
Probably someone else can word this better, but I think this new understanding is quite extreme to me.

Be careful what you wish for (in case you want to wake up your spouse)
by nevaagain ini want to spare you a long post about my background.
because this topic is about something else.a small information is that i knew ttatt before i got married.
but then i somehow pushed it back for quite some time because i didnt want to change my life and it was convenient to instantly meet new people when you move into a new city.couple of years into my marriage and seeing all the changes in the jw my thirst for ttatt resurfaced.

The watchtower chains got broken and she doesn't want to be with you anymore. I presume the reason she didn't want to discuss TTATT with you was because she didn't want to face this fact.
It happens in the real world, people fall out of love. I'm very sorry. Think about it this way though, would you rather her be brainwashed and stick with you because of a controlling religion? Now you have the opportunity to find someone who is right for you and will love you as much as you deserve.

What a pathetic video. I'm interested to see how it is received at the RC. I predict more awakenings.

My wife is a regular pioneer and I've been awake for more than a year.
She slowly is accepting the fact that I am fading and will eventually stop attending meetings. She even said that she wants me to stop going so she can move on with her life as a sister with an unbelieving mate.
I'm still pretty sure she will eventually wake up, she is very smart but also very attached to all the friends.
