My old kingdom hall didn't have the watchtower symbol-not even on the sign, just the year text over the stage and four paintings done by the POs wife. They did build a new hall after we left, though. I'll have to take a look to see if they have it outside the new one. I'm not going inside to see if they have it in there, though.

Can you find the image all Kingdumb Hells have?
by WTWizard inno, kingdumb hells do not have traditional images.
they lack crosses, statues, and other symbols that most christian churches have.
however, they do have an image.

I came to a realization just now, how about you?
by return visitor ini have been inactive now for over a half a year, and i am just now realizing that there was not one thing i enjoyed about being a witness.
i enjoyed my friends and association with witnesses, and still do.
but i didn't enjoy one thing that we were supposed to do, not one.

Well, I was a misguided bookish person who got involved with them when I was sixteen, so I enjoyed the studying. But then they started emphasizing answering ONLY by rephrasing what was in the paragraphs, and that got boring really fast. And if I would've had a CLUE about the wrong dates, etc, I wouldn't have lasted nearly as long as I did.
I HATED field service
The best thing about the DCs and assemblies was lunch when they used to provide it, lol (those danishes were pretty good).
I used to LOVE the annual square dance and skating parties we had with three other congregations, but then they put a stop to that, too.
LOL WT: When I started up with the JWs, they had four day conventions. Someone told me back in the day they used to be SEVEN days long!

On just about everything. We have some beauts in the garden this year. They are really hot, but when we put them in salsa, they weren't so hot. Anyone know what's up with that? Is it the vinegar, maybe?
LOL, one time I made spaghetti and put too many peppers in. It was a nonstick pan, and it ate the nonstick coating right off it.

Good points Journey On and Gently Feral!
Hi Missana,
Perhaps you miss the family you never had but wish you did. I think that's a VERY familiar motif with children from dysfunctional families, and it's healthy to want that!
In Jungian dream theory, a sister can represent YOU-how you felt at that age, or your vulnerable feelings now.Being killed can represent a situation that is "killing" your sense of self-confidence or self identity.A balconey can represent a wider viewpoint of something.Could you be feeling that your family's condemnation over your new wider view of the world is killing your self-identity?
I had many dreams/nightmares like this when I left the WTS five years ago. I wrote them down in a dream journal with as much detail as I could as soon as I woke up (including colors, etc). I used my own sense of what they meant, along with a Jungian dream dictionary to help me analyze them (take a look through some dream dictionaries and see which ones seem to resonate with you-I don't totally agree with all of Jung's theories, but for some reason, his dream theories do seem to work for me). It took a period of time for me to be able to decipher each dream (one of them took over a year to figure out), and the dreams actually changed over time. I do believe the dreams were helping me to deal with what was happening to me at that time,so don't worry too much about trying to force yourself to deal with this-you are, in a way and time frame you can handle. If you are REALLY having a difficult time, I do recommend that you see a mental health practitioner, though.

My husband and I delivered our DA letter last night. . .
by Pioneer Spit...oh, i mean Spirit inthat is, letter of disassociation and denunciation, i like that word.
.in person in the door of one of our ex-elders and via email to him and a few others.
there was an added level of peace in doing that, which neither of us expected.

Freeze one.
Separate the fat layer from the meat, place garlic cloves and orange halves between the two layers, cover with foil, and bake. Just before removing from the oven, baste with a white wine and butter sauce until fat is golden brown.
Serve with mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, sour dough rolls, and any vegetable except brusssels sprouts
Man, now I'm hungry!

I SO agree, Sully. Especially when they are sent as forwards in lieu of actual email communication!
