Considering one of our planet's biggest problems is increasingly overpopulation we should be grateful of homosexuality.

How do we encourage the science of homosexuality?
by sabastious inat one point in my life i chose to stop listening to my religion's advice to not research outside of their framework.
about the time i made that decision was when the gay marriage debate was going very strong; and still is to this day.
back then i felt like my state of california was leading the front on it to stop the bigotry and oppression once and for all.. it was a hot topic for me because i was questioning the bible and my faith so i started researching the science of homosexulality.

Some info....homosexuality is no longer considered a mental illness by the American Psychiatric Association (1973), Canadian Psychiatric Association (1982) and the World Health Organization (1993). Even China, who was a little slow, followed suit in 2001.

Homosexuality is found in over 450 species. Homophobia is found in only one. Which one seems unnatural?

Why This Atheist Respects the Jehovah's Witnesses-And why other Atheists should too!
by RaustBD ini'm an atheist, and i'd like to take some time to talk about why i hold a great deal of respect for the jehovah's witnesses, and some words of encouragement that may put an end to the ridicule and disrespect you seem to get from, well, all sorts of people.. .
i never gave this kind of criticism a second thought: i knew nothing about you, and i figured you were just another fringe group of christianity.
i now feel terrible about this, and i wish to apologize for my (admittedly never spoken) disrespect.

My point, in posting this matter, isn't to discredit evolution; again, I believe in it, with the exception being human evolution.
Whaaa...? Wow, its displayed all over our bodies. Laryngeal nerve, maxillary glands, goose bumps, vestigial tails, wisdom teeth, plantaris muscle....and the biggest one our DNA.

Does God speak to you? HOW?
by Quentin inan answer to this question is subjective to the individual an a posteriori experiene.
however, can there be an a priori experence, one that is objective, outside the bounds of personel experiene, or does it remain subjective?
god speaks to me, through many venus, except audible.

From my humble perspective, there is no greater evidence that God speaks to no-one than the certainty with which Shiite Muslims and Suni Muslims and Plymouth Bretheren and Mormons and Baptists and Roman Catholics and Lutherans and Jehovah's Witnesses and all manner of religious sect and cult all claim that they are of the elect exclusive of all others. Since all of you cannot possibly be right it is only fair to assume that none of you are.
I have yet to see one single logical answer to this point. Actually, usually it is simply avoided. Then on to the slippery, rubberband replies to justify one's personal faith, with a dash of judgement on us "lesser" ones. Not realizing all those with their personal faith in god are doing the same to them.

Discussion Topic God's Sudden Personality Change as Seen in the Bible
by charlie brown jr. inok i'm sure this has been talked to death... but since we have a thread saying we're missing a good debate here we go..... when the bible meant something to me way back when .....even then i pondered.... god starts off as this vengeful being..."listen to me or i'll lay your soul to waste".
to his enemies ....keep your distance or you will feel the wrath of yahweh or if i want what you have ....best leave now unless any of you men wanna die.
then overnight.. he is patient, loving, kind, his son says love they neighbor.

Maybe in the OT God had a bad case of cabin fever which brought out his latent schizophrenia...
