  hi, i presented a paper at the australian sociological association (tasa) conference last week on the witnesses' part in their banning in australia in 1941. if anyone is interested, i can email copies out but don't think i can post the whole lot on the web (it is about 3,000 words).

  Oh My Cawed! $29,000+

  ok. i "won" a "fully favorable" social security disability claim on august 29, 2005. from there it takes 2 - 6 months to receive a letter outlining just how much i will receive in back pay and in monthly.. today i got an envelope with $29,794.00.

  no letter, no nothing!.

  oh, my, cawed!.

  I have never heard of this. You had to fight for years to get disability money?!! Here we just fill out a form and get a disability allowance (plus free health care). Long live Australia!

  my folks have had one lying round for years so now that im more mature and older i have taken and using a program to put it on the computer.

  i have spent all day on it and prob no where near finished.

  i have so much more research to do it.

  I've been meaning to do a family history for ages

  My mum's cousin in an amateur historian in Scotland & he has traced some of my mum's family - apparently we are distantly related to Mark Twain (Samuel L Clemens) - my mum's maiden name is Clemens. How excitement!

  When we go back to England I will definitely have more of a go! Unfortunately my husband's family all come from Ukraine/Russia & I don't think their records are so good!

  i know this is a gloomy topic but have any of you picked a song that you would liked played at your funeral.. i want james blunts new song "goodbye my lover" i heard it for the first time yesterday and cried never had that happend before.
