  how to sue the WTBS?

  does anyone know or heard of anyone that has sued the wbts?

  i was just wondering i was in the organization 38 years and i feel cheated out of all those years i was in.

  or how about when your disfellowshiped and your family alientates you from their lives.

  I think years of un-paid labor which generated income for the
  organization could be a basis for a suit.

  Recording and Submitting Time Slips

  submitting monthly time records is one of those requirements that i had always wondered about.

  i mean how much hours and rvs did paul submit and how many magazines and subscriptions did peter record.. i always had difficulty achieving the national average, although i used to go frequently out in service.

  i just could not bring myself to count the time driving to the service arrangements, driving around looking for houses, and driving off publishers afterwards.. this kept me from being appointed an ms from some time.

  The time counting has to do with CONTROL. Namely, schedule control.
  If we were to count the number of houses visited, or the number of
  meaningful conversations, people would try to get things done quickly
  and then get on to other important things. Counting TIME, however,
  doesn`t allow you to hurry things up. Thus, the tendancy is rather
  to make things drag out. (i.e.walk more slowly). No company which
  was paying wages would ever make time the factor to be counted.
  Since the WTS isn`t paying anything effectiveness is a non-issue.
  The longer they can keep bros. out walking the pavement and knocking
  on doors, the less time they will spend in other activities, such as
  say.... logging on to this web site!!
  You may have read that when Ray Franz was on the GB the idea was
  raised of eliminating the time cards. It was voted down,however,the
  reason being less time out knocking doors means less magazines
  passed out, which means less money coming in and less reason to
  build new printing facilities which means less proof that the org.
  is definitely being blessed by Jehovah.
  ***IF, THE WT HAD TO PAY SALARIES LIKE ANY NORMAL COMPANY BASED ON
  AN HOURLY WAGE THEY WOULD DROP THE PRESENT SYSTEM IN AN INSTANT!!

  sept 11 brings out JW blood-lust

  i met a bunch of witnesses from my old congregation on a ferry to seattle a month ago.

  i tried avoiding them but they spotted me and their was no escape.

  they all seemed to be very jovial and asked me if i was going to the meetings.

  I was just at Columbia Heights two weeks ago and asked about the
  orgs. response to the WTT tragedy. I didn`t get the kind of response which I would call `compassionate` in the light of the scale
  of the tragedy. Certainly, no one was jumping up and down for joy at
  the loss of life, but from the little I saw, the orgs. was wasting
  very few of their resources to help out.
  Here in Japan we experienced a tradegy of similar proportions in
  1995 when the earthquake hit Kobe. I was there on the ground helping
  people. The WT ,however, made a name for itself as an organization
  which helps it`s members and not the non-JWs around them.They didn`t
  create a very good image for themselves. Two weeks ago, while visiting
  Bethel in NY, I asked about that and the response I got was,`We`re
  not a very large organization and don`t have that many resources to
  expend on relief work`. Odd... there certainly seems to be plenty of
  money when it comes to buying up real estate for the organization...

  The very life of the organization hangs on the concept of DESTRUCTION.
  It permiates every facet of the JWs world view. Destruction rears it`s
  head in many areas of life...destruction of family relationship based
  on people`s views regarding `The Truth`, destruction of people`s
  emotional well being due to constant prodding and frequent guilt-trips
  destrution of people`s financial well-being due to a false view of
  the impending doom the world is facing and destruction of people`s
  future goals due to relegating the rest of the world to the realm of
  Satan....The list goes on. People who feed on destruction centered
  teaching for years and years tend to revel in other people`s suffering
  because it is more important to justify their world-view than it is
  to care for other people with compassion and grace.

  Talked with a Japanese elder who recently da`ed today. He affirmed
  that the handling of finances here in Japan raised many questions
  in his mind about the organization. There was never any responsible
  reporting beyond the level of the local congregation. Things go to
  be too much for him so he left after years of special pioneering
  and a stint at the Japanese Bethel.

  It is becoming more and more common for ELDERS to leave the organiza-
  tion. He is the third such person I`ve met in the last several months.

  There is a Victims of the Watchtower national convention here in Japan. It`s been going on for over 5 years now. Get`s quite a few
  JW`s and families to attend.

  I think I mentioned a Protestant pastor who was being sued by the
  Watchtower for infringment of a JWs religious freedom. I found out
  the first hearing in the higher court was held today. There is an
  intense battle being waged here in Japan over the issue of personal
  rights verses the will of the family. That comes into play when
  families oppose a JWs religious activities and try to use different
  methods to `expose` the WT. Traditionally the will of the family at
  large has taken precedence over individual`s desires and beliefs, but
  the trend of late is in a `westernized` direction, i.e.the will of
  the individual regardless of what that may or may not mean.

  A good friend of mine has been working in northern Pakistan for
  18 years. He speaks Pushtoon fluently and has many friends who are
  from Afganistan. We were comparing the fundamentalist Islamic world
  view and the WT world view and were amazed at the similarities we
  came up with.

  Farkel, nice comments. I`ve always liked the passage which says,
  the true shephard lays down his life for the sheep. I`ve seen the
  opposite reaction too many times among JWs.
