i am not sure how you all feel as we all left at different times for different reasons.... but this new bible seems to have put some final nails into a coffin that was once my jw life.

the religion is so far and so different to the religion i grew up in that it has become something i feel no affiliation with anymore, no bond, no shared ideas or even sentimental views.

different teachings on when the end is coming.

the tuesday night book study---early 60's--handsworth---birmingham--UK

in the parlour of the lovely old sister--one of the annointed--a winters evening. an hours walk away -(we didnt own a car back then )

why didnt the daft old bat light the fire-??-the room was freezing.

and the west indian brother taking the book study--?--- a jamaican accent--the rest of us couldnt understand a single word he said.

and me--reading the paragraphs out loud--no one could understands a single word i said-----my teeth were chattering so bad.

i'm proud to say i'm an apsostate.. .

anyone else up front about it?.

if i drank several pints of real ale--i would drown with an idiot grin on my face. i tend to drink cheap rotgut white cider--the kind our loving goverment is trying to tax beyond reach. but i sip it out of a wine glass--i can make 3 litres last 2 evenings.
