  Is the Governing Body trolling us?

  i'm starting to believe the bethel higher ups are trolling us.

  the outright contradictions and stuff like overlapping generation is too ridiculous.

  calling out the harold camping when we did the same thing.

  left 4 years ago and have heard rumours of many new ones.

  so--in the UK--does the WTS pay the national insurance contributions for these CO's & DO's--so they get the state pension--or do they fall back on pension credit ( guarantee )--which is non-contributions based--but is means tested ?

  If you wrote book about JW's what title would you give it?

  many, after leaving or being cast out of 'the society,' have felt so strongly so as to write a book.

  some well thought out and good reading.. my questions are the following:.

  if you were to write such a book what title would you give it ?.

  another guy i knew well--pre 75--was

  michael ganderton--on the isle of wight.

  i heard he was a CO in devon/cornwall at one stage. but he must be retired now.

  actually--do CO's retire at 65--or plod on till they drop ?

  i find it odd that the district overseer today made.

  1. zero yes 0 references to the fds in any of his talks.. 2.he also told elders that the brothers worship god and not them.so therefore the elders have no authority to order the friends around.. 3. he also talked about the stanford prison study and said that people who receive authority over others often abuse it.

  4. he mentioned that when he disagrees with the branch (aka the fds) he's learned to just do what they say.

  as a ex jw i am cyncial to dating perhaps because i did not do much dating as a jw.

  do any of you still feel this way?

  i am not against dating but i am still that dating and getting yourself emontionallt attached is sort of a way of being in chains..

  I do too I love and respect women but I feel that many would look at me and scream and run the other. I recently asked a girl out and she just walked away.

  yeah--i see what you mean---i think you need to change your avatar---it really sux

  by the way--youre going about it all wrong with women--let them chase you--and reject the first 100 or so--just to be on the safe side.

  An important question for active JW's

  if you and a fellow jehovah's witness went to a house where the homeowner brought up a watchtower doctrine which you secretly disagree with, would you defend it or tell them what it is you really believe?.

  either way you are at a loss.. defending something you disagree with is living a lie and telling a lie.

  not defending it and telling the home owner what you really believe makes you an apostate by watchtower society standards.
