my born in wife was appalled. it was the beginning of the end of the marriage. i was no longer her trophy jw pioneer servant public speaker catch.

Leave it in Jehovah's Hands - Your thoughts?
by berrygerry inleave it in jehovah's hands.
is there a more disgusting phrase in jw land?.
the abuse, harms, thefts, suicides, family destruction - leave it in jehovah's hands.. why would anyone with a more than 2 neurons say, "oh that makes sense," we do not need to change or intervene in any way.. sooner or later, god will take of things.. .

Sexually repressed and frustrated Jws....
by stuckinarut2 ini wonder how many jws are sexually frustrated due to the repressive views of the org?.
im sure that there are millions of messed up witnesses who have been severely damaged due to the teachings and guilt that the org places on all members.. now, i'm not encouraging a reckless lifestyle, but i'm sure so many more problems are experienced by witnesses just because of the suppressed and guilt laden attitudes the org has perpetuated!
they can even be open in their marriages!.

What Made You Finally Wake Up?
by Tenacious inhello to all.
i've been on this site for a couple of weeks now posting here and there but have not had the opportunity to read about many of the regular members and what led up to their leaving the wt.. i understand that some of you (i'm part of this club) may not be able to disclose many details and i can appreciate that.. i'd love to hear what was it that finally made you renounce what is and hopefully soon to be "was" the wt.. i truly look forward to having good discussions.. thank you to all for your kind participation.. .

with me it was the blood issue. in 1971 i was married--and my born in wife was expecting our 1st. i just knew i could never put my family's lives in jeopardy over this blood ban nonsense. which got me really thinking--and facing the hard truth---i simply did not believe in any god.---so i had no business being a jw. . i was in it to please other people. so--i quit.
i didnt need to spend hours pondering bible verses and watchtower propaganda-----so really i had it easy compared to many.

How did you feel when you got baptised? Seriously....
by stuckinarut2 inso recently, several over-righteous ones in the cong were discussing "how amazing it felt when they got baptised".
statements like "how awesome did it feel as you got raised back out of the water?!".
or the classic "i felt so close to jehovah as i came out of the pool"!.

i felt jehovah's wetness.

At This Point In Time Would You Ever Subject Yourself To A Judicial Committee?
by minimus ini certainly wouldn't.
and if the elders wanted to have a meeting with me, i would respectfully decline.
if the elders wanted to deal with you, would you talk with them?.

i regard the JW religion--cult--whatever--as a small--exclusive--club--where most members are lifes losers and misfits.
so--you were a member for a while--but managed to break a club rule--and they want to ban you from the club---so--let them---no big deal--its all just a silly fantasy anyway.
just dump their rubbish from your life--you will feel so much better after.
