is it really possible to continue as a jw but not believing in it anymore.
for how long can one keep up with this pace of life?.
i will appreciate it if any scientific study had been done on this and what has the result showed?..
i was brought up in it from age 9--baptised at 14
pioneered at 16-to about 20--on and off
servant at 18--magazine/territory.
married to a born-in at 20
father at 23--by then i knew i'd had enough of living the lie.
took me 8 years to finally break free--when my wife divorced me & stopped nagging me into attendance.
been free ever since--i'm now 63
paid a high rice for my freedom--shunned by my own kids most of their lives.
dont you just love jehovah and his official religion
i'm quite new to this site, & have realised some members have a union jack symbol under their avatar.

it suddenly hit me, as i glanced down at a nice lady of many decades.................damn!
i'm standing so close to her that she has fallen out of my depth of focus .............and she looks many years younger because, like a camera pointed at doris day, with vaseline on the lens, i can't see wrinkles, scars, crowsfeet or much else beyond a smiling, angelic appearance.

i'm 63 and still at it, having a younger wife certainly helps: thinking of talking to my doctor about viagra--its a case of the spirit being willing but the flesh could use a scaffold.

two weeks ago i returned from an escape to truro, cornwall the toe of england where i rented an idyllic detached cottage with my other half.
cornwall was bathed in sunshine and god was in his heaven instead of the box i usually keep him in.

i have 3 adult offspring, my daughter is 40--hasnt contacted me since she was 12.
youngest son is 33---no contact for a similar period
older son is 35--now DF--so is in limited contact with me via Facebook.
his mother --my 1st wife---shuns him now.
my JW father-- 90-- still has close contact with me----
so--his grandchildren (the 2 above) have no contact with him
i have grandchildren who ive never met--they live 8 miles away

hey all i was a witness most of my life in the lansing area of michigan.
i've glanced at online communities like this before but mostly shyed away from them because after leaving the organization i became an atheist.
i'm not ashamed of it by any means, but these forums and websites seem to be mostly filled with folks who are still religious but just don't agree with the governing body's methods.
yep--i'm an atheist--guess i always was--even when i was a pioneer and MS many years ago.
