if you where a brave little witness soldier, or even a pioneer (gasp), you must have seen a lot of strange shit.

the probability of encountering "interesting" people or getting yourself into weird situations is pretty high.. i'll start.

back in my early teens--we used to go out for an hour before the tueday night book study. --selling the magazines ( this was 50 years ago )--- i was on my own--

the door opened--and the householder--a man--must have had a serious operation on his face--he had no nose--just a hole in his face between his mouth and his eyes....ive never forgotten it.

i went to post a packet today.

as i left my house i noticed a couple of jws boring a house holder to death.. as i returned from the post office i saw the area regailed with jws, many of whom i know.

they didn't see me as they were busy trying to foist leaflets onto people.

referring to the pioneer stroll--i thought that too---many years back. we all did it--walked as slowly as we could--and if the householder was not home--it meant a lengthy stand on the doorstep.

with the changes in doctrine being fully unveiled at the dc this year, i expected many to wake up.

the dcs have been going on for a month now, i fully expected to be welcoming new members by now!

am i just being impatient?

@Lois---it took a few days before my membership was approved--in fact-- registered again in another name as i thought there was a glitch in the system.

ive met a number of ex's who just want to forget their past--they have no interest in sites like this. i wonder how many ex-j's there are--? could be millions.....

i can recall saying to a visiting CO--back in the late 1960's----that i didnt read all the mags---even he said it was OK just to skim through the study article.

off topic--i read on here a while back that same CO is still alive--and living at the Mill Hill UK headquarters.---45+ years later----what a wasted life.

Anyone else an Ex Bethel "volunteer"

i was wondering if there were any other ex-bethelites on here.

i personally regularly went for temporary work at brooklyn then was assigned to the farm for a year and a half.

it was... one of the most bizaare experiences of my life.. so i wrote it all down (finally, after some 15 years) so i won't bore anyone on here with the details of the story - because bethel doesn't show up until chapter 15... and for you straight folks, it gets a bit gay in two places... but nothing gross.
