  Speculation: Female Ministerial Servants coming soon

  ive no source for this, just personal speculation.. * there is a good case to be made that there were female deacons (ministerial servants) in the bible.. * there is a lack of qualified brothers for basic assignments such as microphones, accounts, literature.

  in some cases, elders have had to do double duty because of a lack of ministerial servants or qualified brothers.. * women outnumber men in the organization.. * there is supposedly a surprising change coming "down the pipe".. perhaps the only difference between male and female ministerial servants is that women will still not be allowed to teach..

  well me, fraz and laika had a little meetup before we went on holiday.....it was great to meet fraz for the first time.

  our hols were teriffic and i have enjoyed dating too.

  What is the "new" date JWs are "hinting" at for Armaggeddon?

  after the 1975 "we did not say point blank armaggeddon was coming we only suggested it might come" fiasco what is the new date jws are "hinting" at for armaggeddon?

  i know now they do not point to any specific date but hint that maybe it might occur such as before 2000 the preaching work will be finished.

  this is a suggestion not a prediction so they can wiggle out of this one.

  i just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.

  also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.

  i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.

  what a fekkin mess. i stopped reading after about the 4th miserable tale.

  my born in dub wife divorced me in 1981. best thing that ever happened to me. free of her and the cult in one quick surgical strike. no regrets.

  Congregation Pledge Disgusted Elder

  at the meeting the other night, the elder who had to read the announcements, which included the $$ info for the new donation arrangement seemed downright disgusted as he read the announcements and asked for the vote.

  he said, "well, here is another organizational change" as he read the letter about the discontinuation of the 2nd meeting during co visit.

  then after they voted, he said if you have any questions ask this other elder as if he wanted nothing to do with it.

  its ok--most of us have moved beyond believing in a man-made myth----but if you havent yet--dont worry--you might eventually. but meantime i'm sure your god is glad you reminded him of his mistakes

  SINGLE YOUNG SISTERS

  are a real pain to the wts : on the one hand--they provide a degree of stability to the young single brothers--and will probably trap one into a marriage by their late teens.. but those who are less attractive to those testosterone fuelled young brothers------will go on to be long term pioneers, forever glancing sideways at the married brothers and causing all sorts of problems in the congregation.

  best if they are shipped off somewhere remote--where the need is greater than their need.

  MARRIED BROTHERS

  these are of highest value to the wts---provided their wives are also in the religion--and in subjection to them. they need to balance their earning capacity with their time needed for the ministry--and responsibilities in the congregation.. will be expected to reach out for positions of responsibilty and leadership. basic education is all that is required--any further education will be supplied by way of close scrutiny of the awake magazine. an ability to clean a window is desirable.

  MARRIED BROTHERS ( with opposed spouse )

  oh dear. these are of little value to the society: likely to be irregular in just about everything----meeting attendance---field service---donations. most likely to be easily distracted by their spouse demanding their wages--and conjugal rights just before the meetings. not to be considered for priveleges in the congregation.

  in no particular order

  OLDER WIDOWED/ SINGLE SISTERS

  high value to the wts: especially born-ins. but only if they are frail--and own their own home / cash assets on deposit. it is essential they leave everything to the society---yet be encouraged to stay at home as long as possible. minimum time spent in a care home: high drain on their resources.

  YOUNG SINGLE MOTHERS

  very little value to the wts; noisy unruly kids at the meetings. nightmare out on the service. very little cash donations--especially if living on state benefits. best if left to fend for themselves--will most likely drift away or get disfellowshipped. ( probably not for the first time ) any kids will most likely have kids of their own by their mid teens. definitely not new world material.

  YOUNG SINGLE MALES

  could show good potential value:---provided they dont show any inclination towards higher education; must be willing to go pioneering as soon as they finish basic education. but must be discouraged from showing any interest in the above category.. excessive masturbation is highly likely---but if given sufficient counselling should be made to feel guilty--and therefore more easily controlled.
