It is SO depressing when you just can't get through to someone

it just makes me cry that it's so obvious to me how wrong it is, and he's not even batting an eyelash.
he knows about all of the scandals, all of the false prophecies, the coverup of sexual predators, that elders tell abuse victims to stay with their spouses, that they dishonestly use sources, and he just doesn't care.

He's probably talking about baked Mac N Cheese...thats more southern/soul food, etc, then the traditional stove top mac and cheese.
Baked Mac and Cheese is served for special events...and I would know, cause my aunties make it all the time. I think its more of a southern
thing then a racial thing. But yes, black people, as well as all people, LOVE baked Mac and Cheese. And I'm black and NOT offended at all.

What's The Biggest Difference In Today's JWs And The Witnesses From Decades Ago?
by minimus ini believe today's witnesses lack zeal, resolve, "love" of the "truth"......just to name a few things.. years ago, witnesses were excited to knock on doors and tell people they were gonna die if they didn't accept paradise.. now, when you see jws in service, they all look zombied out.. it's a slowly dying religion that will last probably forever like an ancient rotted out tree..

Very good thread...
I think one of the main differences is that the rank and file witnesses dont have as much 'spunk' as the older witnesses (some who are now elderly and who have passed on) had. Its seems much more legalistic and impersonal nowadays. And I can never stay awoke during a convention.

just like occupy wallstreet (and the spread to various cities), imagine people without a single voice picketing wt at brooklyn and having warming barrels loaded with burning watchtower literature.

New Field Service Policy - jw's assigned to neighborhoods

jws are now being individually assigned to smaller territories, and they are told to consistently work that same territory over & over again.
the reason is that the watchtower wants the jws to build relationships with the people in that area.

It wouldnt surprise me at all. Theres an active J-dub down the street from my house, and she's constantly witnesses to people in my area. I was actually thinking about doing a little 'witnessing' of my own. More like informing people on how to stop Jehovah's Witnesses.

its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .
if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?
