  Question on Case of Disfellowshipped then Committed Suicide

  there was an occurrence years ago where a jw wrongdoer was disfellowshipped.

  in a matter of days this poor victim committed suicide.. would there be any kind of accountability for the victim's suicide death?.

  how frequent do these cases happen?.

  People may be in denial but suicides caused directly or indirectly by disfellowshipping and shunning is devastativing. All in fact are at risk of crossing the suicide line/threshold.

  Of course, disfellowshipping and shunning seldom leads to suicides. Suicides occurring due to WT policies being more than a handful in a decade is UNACCEPTABLE.

  But those victims of disfellowshipping and shunning (wrongdoer + friends + family) are ruined, devastated, discriminated, outcast, etc.

  Cause and effect analysis:
  Bad WT policy (causes) --> promote disfellowshipping (causes) --> shunning issues (depression, ruin, etc.) may cause --> suicide

  Therefore Bad WT policy promotes disfellowshipping which causes shunning issues AND UNFORTUNATELY MAY LEAD TO SUICIDE.

  We need to ask, research, expose and publish this shameful (and criminal?) practice of WT.
  Could some research and develop on this issue?

  Of course, leaving the organization as early as possible may help. But you will have to deal with some issues hooking you.

  Could We Trigger A Tipping Point?

  the watchtower has an achilles heel that few seem to have noticed: every change must be interpreted as a victory.

  for them, this goes well beyond the sort of hype and 'spin' that would be expected from a government or ordinary corporation.

  the reason why is obviously because they feel that their whole mythical reputation as god's chosen organization is on the line, with everything they do.. even rank false prophesy by them gets redirected as ' they were really unfaithful and just serving towards a date' (what, the date you provided??).

  Tipping Point ... how about everybody go to one side of the boat? Or just rock the boat left and right.

  WT has poisoned the well among JWs so that they could not think clearly against WT, be truly reasonable with other religions and be balanced & real with life.

  Some of us will try "poysonin' the fishing well of WT". Lesser new members = more chance of tipping. Join us if you dare.

  Metaphorically: "Sink the boat first, then save the prisoners."

  Let me improve some of this ...

  There are suicides everywhere, but just how many *** CHRISTIAN *** religion practice disfellowshipping and shunning worldwide and be involved in a life and death situations like this.

  Wow, I would not want to work for this company you say, because someday a mild mannered victim decides to shoot everyone else (and make more victims) in this company, because he had been fired in a bad bad way. *** BEFORE HE COMMITS SUICIDE ***

  It is not only the wrongdoer but lives of friends and family are ruined and self destruct when WT disfellowshipping and shunning is involved.

  Wrongdoers of course would need some punishment, but this kind of "firing from the company" (organization) is wrong, since the weakest conscience mind may result in suicide.

  Institutionalize disfellowshipping and shunning has no place in the modern civil society. You cannot even compare this with employment firing.

  You said "People are not shunned by friends and family if they are fired from a job". This seems to contradict.

  There are suicides everywhere, but just how many religions practice disfellowshipping and shunning worldwide and be involved in a life and death situation.

  In this modern day bullying, intimidation and harrassment are wrong because they bring out the worst of even normal people.

  Don't you think shunning and disfellowshipping is in this same category?

  Question on Case of a Form of Abuse

  i am not sure if this is some kind of abuse, child abuse maybe?.

  there is a case where a daughter is being "tormented" (as she describes) by her mother because she is slacking in her spiritual activities.

  it has been increasing and she is deeply disturbed by it.

  Where is the father? Can she have him seek custody of her?
  How old is the child?

  I like to know the general case.

  But for this case, the father is a non-believer. He is living with the JW mother.

  I think the child is going to be legally an adult (21?) next year.

  years ago i know talks to be accurate, authoritative, corroborative and encouraging.. however, now that watchtower has change (including new light) tactics applied so extensively, things seem to be worsening instead of getting better.. the 45 minute talk is frequently discouraging and prone to inaccuracy in non-scriptural facts.

  i hate to see the few means of jw secular education is done by careless misinformation.

  it mostly attacks the world and sometimes reflects the overzealous opinions of the speaker; for example, demonizing entertainment and the internet.

  Wasanelder Once said the Public Talk was around 30 minutes. That's right.

  I timed it was 33 minutes, but after 45 minutes the alarm sounded. It was my timer (stupid me ). The strange thing though no one bothered to look.

  When did it change from 45 to 30? I missed that service meeting announcement and hardly noticed the difference until now. I never checked time.

  Around when and where was it actually announced?

  30 minutes ... hmmm I missed the memo damn those flip-floppin changes

  I thought it was clearly 45 minutes time limit. I guess I've been seeing them overtime 15 minutes in public talks... The math: 30 + 15 overtime = 45.

  Anyways, I'll bring a stopwatch at the meeting with 30 minutes alarm to confirm this.

Causing some JW members with meek disposition to take things literally; hence they become Internet-illiterate and culturally deprived.

  Are the elders slacking in preparation because they have 15 minutes lesser time to talk, or is there something wrong with the outline?

  On another kind of talk, an overseer openly criticized (bashed) bought parties on some issue. Both the offenders and the victims. Why add insult to injury on the victim? Apparently, the offenders were elders, pioneers and close friends. Isn't this favoritism? ... Shame (3X)
