Q: How DID Noah get all those animals into the Ark?
by notjustyet ina: you take the "j" out of "jahs" and the "f" out of "way".

So from 2400 BC to let's say 1500 AD, the few hundred of species fitted in the ark boomed to millions of species now that's really fast evolution yes.
Then let's say from around 1500 AD we began to reliabiliy categorize the species and in that timeframe until 2012 AD evolution has slowed down incredibly, more like the speed which you would expect if life had billions of years to evolve instead of only 4000 years.
Sounds like reasonable theory.

Why put them in the ark? Why not give them snorkels instead?

The "30 Other Lands" in the Worldwide Report - revealed!
by cedars ini've just uploaded the third article in my four-part "under the microscope" series - looking at the society's claims to be god's sole channel with mankind.
a link is below:.

Funny to see that the entire area where there are virtually no witnesses is also the area closest to the spread of first century christianity. The lands which Jesus and the Apostles thought were most important to preach in (and as the bible says are so important that preaching there can be interpreted as covering 'the entire world') are not even a blip on the JW radar.

Gated Communities in Puerto Rico now required to have a Security Guard and special entrance for Jehovah's Witnesses
by Alfred inas some of you may recall, on february 11, 2011 the united states court of appeals ruled that most gated communities in puerto rico violated the constitutional rights of jehovahs witnesses by not allowing them unobstructed access to homes and thereby thwarting their right to worship freely.
not sure how the watchtower was able to fool the us court of appeals, but there you have it... the next step in this judicial process is to determine how this needed to happen.. to that end, the us court of appeals has recently ruled that those gated communities in puerto rico that didnt have security guards (i.e.
: have a tele-entry key pad instead) were to hire at least one security guard who would be positioned at the entrance for the purpose of allowing jehovahs witnesses free access to the community.

A radio message from outer space.. simply means something that humans broadcasted on a satellite, not aliens, probably russians.

A new member of the thinking class
by Captain Obvious inthis is my first post on this forum, though it feels like i already know some of you here.
i have been lurking for a couple of months now, and i must say, there honestly seems to be more love and respect here than any forum i have ever seen on any forum of any kind.
i am 25 years old, married 3 years to my wonderful wife who is 22. we had a somewhat classic jw upbringing... which i now know has been our biggest problem.

Hello Captain Obvious,
I'm in almost the exact same situation as you, although I am now inactive for almost a year.
If you want to you can read my story, it will feel good for you to know there are many like you.
I don't have any advice on how to approach your wife.. I haven't been able to convince her either. Every time I try to it ends with emotional blackmail and crying on her part.
I do have advice for you. Stop going to the meetings and into FS right now. Inactivate! It's the best thing I've ever done in my life.
Here's my story: http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/experiences/197392/1/Studying-my-faith-away
BTW, you're not from belgium are you?

Interview with former Watchtower P.R. man Robert Jankowski
by Dogpatch inlast week i took a trip down to santa ana, ca.
and met robert jankowski, a name i heard very often at bethel in the late 70s.
robert was one of the voices of many watchtower drama characters in the 70s, along with tom cabeen, who he often worked with.. in addition, the watchtower was allowed a slot on local radio stations every sunday (allowed by law free of charge to churches then) , which he provided to the radio stations in cassette form in advance.

The memorial.. the most twisted ritual in the entire JW playbook. You gotta admit, it takes balls to have 99% of the believers refuse to take part of Jesus' sacrifice without any biblical backing and even while reading the scriptures where it is simply stated that everyone has to drink the wine and eat the bread.
Kinda strange isn't it? Most important event of the year and Jesus didn't even give clear instructions for most of his believers in the present day. He didn't say "Oh yeah, except for a whole bunch of other sheep in the future, they don't have to do this, they only have to watch with respect." No, instead Jesus only gave clear instructions to a small minority of his believers. He's so smart.
It will be my second year of non-attendance and I'm proud.
