Where the GB gets their info....
by RagingBull inokay...so in the "revelation - its grand climax at hand!
" book, at the end of page 124 to 125...there is mention of "resurrected ones" of the annointed class/24 elders that may be the ones communicating information to the governing body.. 1. thought we were not to communicate with the spirit realm (scriptural).
2. does the "may be" mean that they don't even know, really, who's communicating with them?.

No no.. they're not communicating with the dead.. you see, our dead have been heavenly resurrected, in a spiritual, ghost-like body! They're very much unlike your so-called ancestors..

The Evilness that is Lady Gaga
by LouBelle intoday i got three seperate emails stating that lady gaga has sold her soul to the devil and is using her music and videos to further satan's goals.
they then go take the various symbology and wording in her music and videos and explain what they mean/represent.
she is rather wild and out there, and yes i'll admit she does use a lot of symbolism in her music videos.

I love Gaga. You can't be a rockstar with at least some satanic symbolism.

As of today, I will no longer be one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
by Knowsnothing ini spoke with my mother, told her everything, my doubts, my fears, my sins.
it came rushing out.
my mother is devastated.

Yes the mythical elder that can turn apostasy around. Isn't it kind of strange that people always want someone else to solve all their problems? I've been told to go talk to the elders too. Apparently my reasoning it too strong for normal dubs.

Trying to Fade, Now they want to interview me on the SAD!!!
by burnedout ini resigned as an elder some time ago, have been working on fading, the wife is getting used to the new 'me' (not stressed, better husband and father, etc.
), been missing a lot of meetings... even received a few statements such as: 'hi burnedout, it's good to see you!!!
last sunday, i took my one of my sons to the local dragstrip to show him the races, oops missed the meeting.

the-illuminator81
Imagine that you could do a truthful, honest interview? What a world would that be..
Q: "Hello Brother burnedout, can you tell us how long you've been serving in God's organization?"
A: "Far too long."
Q: "Hahaha, what a funny joke. Now, can you tell us how going into field service has been an encouraging, refreshing experience for you?"
A: "Well, I can't really, because I hate going into field service, it just feels like a waste of time, I mean nobody listens and to be honest with you I feel very bad for telling people something I don't even believe in anymore. It isn't refreshing or encouraging all, it's just a treadmill, a huge waste of time. I'm only doing it so my family won't shun me."
Q: "Blasphemy! Brothers, burn this apostate! God wills it! "

Guys!! Guys!!! Two Jehovah's Witnesses were just at my door!!
by ziddina inand of course, i had some fun with them... an older, brunette woman who obviously dyes her hair and could stand to lose a bit of weight, and a slim blonde teenage girl - probably around 15 - 17.... i started out by asking them if they knew how old the bible was.... .
(and unfortunately, i think i demonstrated that i wouldn't make a very good "undercover" bible study prospect... .
but they didn't even know how old - young - the bible was!!.

Zid, I love your theories on volcano Jehovah, it just makes so much sense!

The effect we are having on the Watchtower is HUGE
by jwfacts ini was inspired by a recent thread i know i aint gunna crumble the wt, but a girl can dream to look at the effect we as individuals are having on the watchtower society.. 3dogs1husband quoted a story to show that even helping only one person is worth it.. it is encouraging to note that the one person you may have helped has lead to millions being helped, due to the power of compounding growth.. compounding growth is well illustrated by the rice on a chessboard problem.
if you start with 1 grain of rice on square one, and double it to 2 on the second, 4 on the third, 8 on the fourth, by the last (64th) square there would be 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 grains of rice.. likewise, if you help one person out of the grip of the watchtower this year, then next year you help one more and they help one, in a few years that is going to have a formidable result on the number of jehovahs witnesses.
look at the following statistics.

I wonder if they also track the effectiveness of their new bible study books.. like the bible teach book? Because if I look at the graph, that book isn't helping.
I think another avalanche effect is in families where more and more of the relatives are da'd, df'd or inactive. If your parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles etc. etc. are no longer going to the meetings the fear of shunning is a lot weaker.
