Tidbits continue - great to be able to post after 10 on the first day. Info will come as time goes by - can't reveal too much due to family, work, etc. How about this one - Doc Dixon coming up from Brooklyn and going over to the slaughterhouse, opening up the trunk and loading up meat, steaks and more, more, more. Saw so much of this upper perks that I wanted to scream. How about the John Kutch cabins for rent and how about the dentists wife's affair. Also, the Bethel thief, midnight feeler and crazy guys attacking the housekeepers in the hampers? Love to see comments from ones that were there!

They have had CDs of the mags for years. Now, you can download the rags at jw.org and starting 9-01-10 you can download pdfs of the wt & g - they will up for 6 months. Look for the day when KMs, books and all will be downloadable. Printing costs and shipping costs are too high. Already they will are starting the new arrangement for rags to be shipped out to the assembly halls once printing starts in Canada - too expensive to send out USPS from Toronto. The insiders edge continues!

Is there anything wrong with "United in Worship" book?
by Albert Einstein infew months ago in my country (eastern europe) a letter was read in congregation, that the "united in worship of the only true god" (the blue book people studied as a second book after "you can live forever"...) is updated an replaced by another book and all publishers should bring their copies to elders.
the reason presented was that brothers (due to efficiency) want to recykle the books ecologicaly (iam not making this up).
it was literally said, that all books should be taken to the kh and not a single copy should be kept home.. when my mil told us that (we were not going to meetings at that time already with my wife) i told her, that as far as i know brothers do not have any recykling facility and if they do and want to be ecological, they should ask for all updatet publications, not just for this book.

New light overtakes all the dark bad light. Refining by holy spirit! Let's have a book burning. Farenheit 451, anyone?
One of my favorite books and movies of all time. Dr Strangelove is also at the top and The Night of the Hunter (Robert Mitchum plays a deranged preacher - he yells out "Jehovah commands you children!"
Ah, days of wine and roses and the 39 steps. What a gay old life it is!

Bethel at Wallkill in the mid 70s in the factory.
Have read Ray's books and other extensive research.Love the words - simplification (tm), evidently, it appears, it seems, it seems likely, and esp. type & anti-type (per Freddie).
Thanks for the welcome.

Tidbit #3 - CO tells us to write things up in reports so bro drunk can get reappointed quickly. Crazy COs who didn't even have a clue and just wanted to party, drink, hang with single pio hotties and make calls on infirms, expired subs and listen to themselves talk. Spirit directed appointments, my ass!

Yet, Jesus did not follow that pattern on the other recorded prayers. Prayer is a personal matter and yet can be used to address a group of people. Jeh is not one to be mocked, and yet at the Convention it was a mockery and showed how distorted the GB can become when 1 member runs with any idea and has some sort of scriptural backing. The leadership can be swayed to see the point - "we have a 5 min window for prayer and SOME OF THE BROS (tm) are not properly using the time and not even thanking Jeh for ALL of the talks, parts, etc, etc". So, we must follow the directive and use the time properly and make everyone weak at the knees and comment about how so and so was so close to Jeh in their prayer. I still can't believe how things are done!

It takes a real burden off the back and helps to express the frustation of being a part of such a big corporate org. Change will only be limited and the power struggles will go back and forth. Thinking about all the old beliefs, changes, urgency, evils of the outsiders and yet the winking at wrongdoings, coverups, drunkenness at Bethel, CO / DO good old boy systems, lawyers sunning every move, I want to go into a hole and come out a different person cleansed from all of it. The endless letters, kissing up to the CO, not being able to give real help due to HQ and "what is written", it turns the stomach and makes me want to throwup! But, staying in and being a support for the beatup, thrown about sheep is what keeps me going. Filter out the craziness and focus on the good. Thanks for listening.

Also, at the Conventions - the attendents were instructed to keep there eyes open and look out for trouble during the prayers. Thieves, apostates and other bad things happen, Jeh can't protect during the prayer if he is listening directly! -

New here, but have followed this site from the very start. As my name states, I have seen it all. Former elder, Bethelite, PO, MS, 4th gen and still active as pub. Seen so much, could make a little difference, but it is a real drag. Have to stay in due to family and other matters. Nice to see such information made public for others to make their own conclusions. A piece of gossip - the opening and closing prayers for the Convention this year were given to old timers, visiting Bethel, CO, etc with instructions to take close to the full 5 minutes and to mention every talk. To do this, many old-timers had to make notes (in fact it was encouraged by the Chair's office & Bethel) - so were the prayers really from the heart? What is the difference between that and the old harlot? There will be an article coming out about the value of prayer with having something to say. Recall David in the Psalms or King Solomon or even Jesus - they are recorded. Ah, I can see it now, Outlines for prayers. I kid you not.
